I know its better not to smoke them at all but is less better than alot day to day. Ive read smoking less is worse! cant remember where but def read it somewhere anyway.

Forgot to mention it was the dumbest thing ive ever heard of!
Since ive cut down ive noticed huge benefits. the best being able to play a full 90 minutes, without having to have my arse hauled off the pitch after 60 because i cant run anymore!:D

If you smoke over 100 a day it is actually good for you. Your lungs overcompensate. In Japan they actually require firemen to smoke this much because it reduces your vulnerability to fire.

*sparks up a fag & hacks up a lung*

Smoke away, we all have to die some day.

Smoking 50 a day is way cooler than only 5

Think I have that book as well. Some interesting facts in it - did you know the word "gullible" does not appear in the Oxford English Dictionary, for example?

As a scientist I can reveal the following shocking secret. It actually works in packs of 20. First 20 - bad for you. Second 20 - cancels out the first 20. Third 20 - bad. Fourth 20 - good.

It's a bit like the trick they use with hot dogs sold in packs of 8 and the hot dog buns sold in packs of 6.

Everyone's saying that. Where do you get them Sink? I checked in my chemist but they kept trying to give me those inhalator things instead.

I heard that drinking more is better for you than drinking less because the more you drink the more tolerance your body has to alcohol. A hangover is your body's way of telling you it's adapting to the drink. Kind of like when your muscles feel sore the next day after a good workout. So drinking in moderation and waking up with no hangover is no good. That's like walking and calling it a workout when you should be jogging or sprinting.

This isn't some unreliable fact from someones mouth i actually read this somewhere.

Of course it is. The one area where science has taken a bit of a back seat is with the overhyped anti smoking crowd. Yes to flag the dangers of tobacco use was and is a good thing, but to forget science and common sense at the same time is daft. Bit irritating to boot. I know a man who smoked cigars(and didn't inhale) in college who was told by his (well known)oncologist, that his lung tumour at 78 was down to the cigars 50 years previously. Eh no. About as likely as finding fairies in your garden. Good doctor he may be, scientist he is not. There is such a thing as dosage and exposure over time. Like all poisons and carcinogens, though the latter is more complex. However it aint that complex.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

To be honest I don't think it's any worse than going out and drinking 10 pints followed by a load of junk food..

I always said that I would never smoke but I started having the odd one on a night out now and again and shockingly I quite like the social aspect to it. I'd rather have a little enjoyment and maybe die a few days younger than live to 90 and never have done anything. I could get hit by a bus in the morning or like many non-smokers die a painful death from cancer when I'm 50.

Everything in moderation and I think you'l be fairly ok...

    Smoking is disgusting.

I know you didnt ask that question but i need to say it.

If you smoke 4/6 over 40/60 then I would assume by my sharp mathematics that you would be 10 times less likely to get lung cancer.

Depends what you do aside from smoking. If you plan on doing a lot of physical exercise, you'll be out of breath quicker if you smoked more.

If ur gonna waste money on "electronic" cigarettes you will never give up smoking as you are not breaking the habit/ritual of holding a cig and inhaling...

Fair enough you don't inhale any more chemicals but you will never give up cigs that way...just substituting them for real cigs...

Biggest con ever, and people who use them look retarded..

ive heard the lights are no better for you than normal smokes, i'm on them as i try again to quit - you just drag harder - the only thing, they dont then last as long - i wish they had made cigs illegal , along time ago along with dope etc. , so i never could have started
