    Cheers Tarquin1970

I really appreciate the feedback and support.

This is a thread to reward boards users who may be thinking of ordering products from UPC (Many thousands of people are anyway each week) They can do this by clicking here www.upc.ie/boardsoffer

As retail sales manager, it is also a way of me supporting our retail partners, by you spending the voucher you receive in their stores.

Rob, Mark and Sam on my retail support team are committed to supporting boards users that come in via this offer, and the combination of free activation of your UPC boxes and a €50 voucher too has meant that many happy boards users have benefitted from this particular offer.

I have stated right through the thread that I am not permitted to comment on other threads without approval. Most boards users are understanding of this thankfully. Right since the start, we have also been able to support many customers that have contacted us privately off thread, and we are happy to do this also.

    Regards

    Jason

    Hi djh

Thanks for your positive feedback for the offer and for Rob, I will pass it on.......Rob works on the UPC retail & dealer support desk, and I am the retails sales manager...so well noted. ;)

Hope you get something nice with your voucher. :D

    Cheers

    Hi Jason,
just to give some additional feedback.

Thursday; ordered online and received callback within 2 hours from Rob.
Friday: Got a call to arrange delivery for next morning.
Saturday: Delivery at the time promised (Surprised and thankful for delivery on a Saturday!)
Saturday - 15 minutes later: Surfing online with UPC!

Could not ask for a better, friendlier or more efficient service.
Big thanks to you and your team.

Looking forward to receiving voucher for DID (In my head I have it already spent!). Will it come in the post or is it to come by email?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,796 ✭✭✭Virgin Media: Jason

    Thanks again djh

Your voucher will be posted to you shortly. If you email retailsales@upc.ie with your account number we can get an ETA for you off DID

    Regards

    Hi Jason,

I got my €50 voucher last week but it was a Woodies one whereas I asked for an Atlantic one; I figured since they are the same company I might be able to use it in Atlantic anyway but alas this was not the case.

Can you please adviehow I can swap my Woodies one for the Atlantic one?

    Regards

    Iba

    Hmmm...
I was only given the option of DID and Carphone Warehouse.
I would have loved a woodies/Atlantic homecare one

I went for DID as I might use it - even though I live in cork
I'd never use the carphone warehouse one

    Hi iba

They are indeed the same company. Please contact my team on 1890 940635 and they will advise on how to get the voucher you prefer.

    Hi mik_da_man

What question are you referring to?

You mentioned that you were never offered a woodies voucher,- that is correct as we stopped offering woodies as an option weeks ago. Were you wondering why it was not an option? Please advise

    Thanks

I never got my voucher from this. I signed up way back in June and after 4 months trying to get a voucher sent to me and several cock ups I just gave up and realised I wasnt getting it.

    Hi p_larkin99

Must say I am surprised you posted here again after I personally intervened in your issue.

I personally posted your 3rd voucher to you, having cancelled the first 2 that were sent to you that you say you never received. I requested you to contact me directly on my direct contact details if you never received your 3rd voucher, 6 months ago but you never did, at which point we assumed you received it.

Since then, over 150 people have received their voucher with no missing vouchers, many posting positive comments here. Nobody else who was sent a voucher never received it. All vouchers are tracked and traced.

You have my contact details if you have not received your 3rd voucher. Please get in touch with me by PM and I will chase up the retailer for you or contact my team again on retailsales@upc.ie quoting your original order number or account number, we would be happy to do that for you.

    Regards

    Jason

To be honest mate, and I do appreciate you tried to help me out, its just not worth the hassle that I went through last time (hence me not contacting you again after months of waiting and trying). You guys sent vouchers to an old address so i had to get a friend to check for me and then there was something about a hybrid address where someone at UPC merged 2 addresses together and again nothing received.

I was just posting about my experience is all.

    Jason,

I ordered last week but I forgot to ask the rep if you get a wireless modem included or is there an extra charge?

I went for the €70 package for 30megs and TV phone plus HD and multiroom extra if that makes a difference.

Hi Jason there was a guy called around to my fathers house today signing people up to UPC but I from the sounds of things I think hes getting a bad deal. Is there any way to cancel that signup and get him to signup through yourself or maybe he could talk to one of your guys to see if he is getting the optimal deal etc?

    thanks.

    Hi Jason

i just received my voucher. however it is DID although i requested Atlantic Homecare. Can you change this please?

Hello, I'm interested in installation, just filled that form from first post a minute ago - I've planned to do that last year but i waited too long and now things are bit complicated.

Thing is - couple that we share a house with are already a UPC clients, but they terminating contract and moving off this week - I just found out there is disconnection scheduled for tommorow.

Is there any chance that technician could just show up and sign new contract with me (I mean - without leaving me disconnected, scheduling another appointment etc.)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,780 ✭✭✭JohnK

Well Jason give your team a pat on the back, my fathers been singing their praises all day. He found them absolutely brilliant to deal with and he's got his installation scheduled for (I think) Monday :)
