They weren't doing either, mostly just wandering around the store and it wasn't that late at night. I dunno, it looked wrong!

No, they were definitely listening to music!

Woah, that's really out of line!! They shouldn't be doing that, its one thing when you're restocking shelves past midnight... I have never worked anywhere that'd let you get away with that!!

Just discovered Vivienne Holloway dresses thanks to Dolorous post in the purchases thread. They are gorgeous! Does anyone have experience ordering from them in terms of delivery and fit? :)

My debs dress was from there :)

The delivery time is pretty fast, but the sizing tends to be pretty small, or at least, it certainly was four / five years ago.

In my experience, the sizing was roughly two sizes smaller than regular sizing. IE. a 12 fits like an 8.

    That might have changed, however.

Lia_Lia your post in WIWT made me giggle..your outfit is lovely as is your hair but your brother's comment is so typical..in my home house, we don't have any mirrors long enough to see your whole self, so I can never see my shoes, and always have to ask my brothers for their advice; which is always pretty funny, brutally honest and makes me laugh!

Brothers and fashion, oh the memories!

the only full length mirror in the house is in my room, and whenever they were going out with a girl they'd slope into my room, look in the mirror and go "does this look gay?"

I'd say no then they'd ask to borrow my straightener! :D Always gave me a laugh.

    :pac:

Yep their sizes are not the same as high street, closer to 1950s sizing afaik. That's why when you order they ask for your measurements and not your dress size. You need to get a tape measure if you don't have one, trying to guess by your normal size won't work!

There's no full length mirror in my home house either, but my brother is definitely not the kind you'd ask for fashion advice. For god's sake, the other day I mentioned that Captain Morgans is on special offer in Tesco and his reply? "Good for girls, but like lads drinkin' it is gay". A drink can be gay now?

Lots of brothers in this forum! My brother is 27 and still I bring him out once or twice a year to sort him out with new shirts and jeans! I would never ask his opinion on my clothes, but he's sweet and will tell me if he thinks I look nice, that's a nice jacket etc.

I have a big 21st party tonight. Let the preparations begin!

mine are very different style wise. One dresses (and we take the mick outta him for it!!) like Glen Hansard; you know, cords, check shirts, converse, wooly hat and beardy. The other varies from a rockabilly style complete with tattoos and piercings (hair however, being the most important) to baggy combats and hoodies. NO WAY would skinny jeans, pointy shoes or angular haircuts cut it in our house!!

1950's all the way. The ultimate fashion era.
