    You git!!!

Well, I don't have any audio of me talking, but here's a video of me singing... just to prove that I do not sound like a fucking chipmunk on helium.

I'll admit when I'm wrong, you are not infact high pitched. But I did say it was the way I imagined the voices. :D

To me, you all speak in Morgan Freeman's voice. Even the girls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,678 ✭✭✭LambsEye

I also base people's voices on how much I like them. My boards nemesis has a crappy, boring, whingy Mam voice. People I like have cooooool, sexy voices.

I read everyone's posts in those cheesy old voice-overs from Euro Trash.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,572 ✭✭✭✭brummytom

Brummytom: Something along the lines of Oliver, "please sir, can I have some more
    toilet roll for fapping into
    "

Nah, I'd say I sound more like a drunk Adrian Chiles.

I like to read peoples posts in the voice of Karl in that movie Sling Blade. :D

I like them French fried potaters. Hrrmmmm.

I've been thinking of how I would explain my voice...Hmm.

Roi: It's a funky little mash up of Dublin, Limerick and American accents, resulting in quite a neutral dialect. Has been known to sound a little extra Limericky when I'm annoyed. Quite deep with a propensity to husk up after an intense session of good times.

    Pat Shortt

    Fixed.

Then there is Liah who I always read her posts with a neutral accent in my head, but I think she would probably have a stronger canadian one than I imagine, so I am probably wrong the way I read it

I have a slightly low voice, very neutral, Generic North American accent unless I'm drunk.. some things I still say in a rather Irish way. :o Nobody really picks up on the fact that I'm Canadian until I tell them. Been mistaken for a variety of different nationalities.

I think Tar's heard it and a few from that L4D2 thread. Though my mic voice horrifies me

I'm starting to think I'm strange for not putting voices to people. I read everything in my normal 'thought voice,' (which is decidedly North America in accentage) for lack of a better term..

It happens a lot more than I'd like to admit :o Same thing happens with different languages, I'll start a sentence in French and fill in the blanks with German or English..

I can't fathom how people understand me at all in this state. :pac:

Now that I think of it that's probably why I get into so many arguments on my own point of view on boards. I'm a poorly communicator after all this travel. :(

Strictly speaking she holds the Portugese title, but you'd have to confirm that with Snyper.

One has to be found to be considered for the hide and seek title.

As it stands - shes the "Hide" chap

To me DeVore's posts used to sound like James Earl Jones for some reason,...until I saw a picture him(Dev):pac:

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

My voice is in-between in terms of pitch - can get high, can get low. Accent is neutral with a hint of Corkage.
I only know one Boardsie in real life and I still, when reading their posts, hear the voice I imagined they had before first hearing their actual voice. :pac:

    Yea all the time, I have voices figured out for a lot of the regular posters here;

Dudess - Cork, south side but defo cork
we'llallhavetea - Galway, city not county
    Annoboy - Dublin, inner city
Liah - that one is just a mess
sink the banna - dublin north side
Keith - biffo, sorry about that one!!
bluewolf - carlow, but very dilute, due to extended period in dublin
    KeithM89 - dundalk obvs
    admiralofthefleet - dublin soutside
    lambseye - pure limerick city

I could go on but this is getting freaky so i wont.

The problem is when you look in the know your poster threads, the pictures totally mess it all up!!

All right, I'm just back from the pub so obviously I've given this careful considered thought that this situations deserves.

    Therefore...

Biggins sounds just like Commander Adama as played by Edwards James Olmos, thoughtful, authoritative but mess with him and holy frak you're in trouble.

Star Belgrade sounds like Clint Eastwood. You think he's just some dude complaining about paper deliveries but he'll kick your ass!

Liah sounds like Kaylee from Firefly as played by Jewel Staite. I don't know why and this clearly means more therapy for me but she just does.

Dudess is complex. Often I'm reading posts from Dudess and I'm thinking; Spot on there Dudess. Nail on the head there. Yes we are in complete agreement. Three posts later. Oh wait...no...I don't agree with that. What? What are you doing Dudess? Nooooo! Oh wait dead right Dudess. Oh wait hold on a sec...and so on...!

Therefore Dudess sounds like Zooey Deschanel when she agrees with me and Emily Deschanel when she doesn't.

    Don't judge me!

Outlaw Pete on the other hand is as someone already said just like Springsteen and because Pete's cheque has just cleared, I'm going to go for a young Springsteen in his prime!

Wibbs was a difficult one but I figured it out. It's David Tennant's version of Doctor Who. It's all 'are we having fun yet' and loads of energy and then it's 'let's be a little serious for a moment but I'm still kind of cool and funny' and then it's like 'now you're all going to die but you made me do it and I really didn't want this to happen but there it is and where's my satsuma?'

As for me, obviously I sound like Gary Oldman when it's raining and Ryan Reynolds when it's dry.

Now I'm pretty sure i was promised a Galaxy bar...I'll be back!

I actually don't. At all! I lived in England and France for a good chunk of my childhood. But the accent is still Irish. Just really...generic. People say I've a "posh accent" SO THERE!

I've never seen Firefly and have only heard Staite sing, not talk, so I have no frame of reference here. Why does that mean therapy? :(

    DAS LIMERICK CITAAAAAAAAAAAY.

Thank God. Not a pure Limerick accent!

I know we're all far to lazy for what I'm about to suggest, but once sometime instead of posting by typing we should post by recording the posts' content and uploading it to here.

I'd imagine 99.75 percent of you sound like paedophiles with bags of sweets, so I would like to confirm it.
