[COD Black Ops] - * First Strike map pack *

After watching a few reviews on youtube about the maps and must say I'm not that impressed with the look of the maps, no sharp graphics just these pasty colours. Not going to bother with the DLC at the moment.

The lack of a DLC playlist is disappointing. Enjoying the maps when they do come up though.

yea everyone in each game runs ghost and a silencer. i was on berlin wall earlyier in a ground war and only 2 people showed up on the uav.

Discovery is cool, long sightlines and the sniping is working tonight for some reason, getting one hit kills everywhere, did they patch it?

The novelty stuff like ziplines, turrets, etc are all **** lol. Discovery and Kowloon are good. The other 2 are muck.

Berlin Wall is an abortion of a map

Firstly - bad form Treyarch not having a new maps only option on the loadout menu..

“Berlin Wall” - not a bad map imo; very funny when the nimrods on the other team run out into the turret area and get milled

“Discovery” not a bad map either - plenty of room to move around - that's for sure.

“Kowloon” is a good map - again lots of different levels - very dark and has the zipline which is cool!

“Stadium,” aka Carnival - lots of tight corners and shotgun users.

People have said the maps are too big - but on the other hand, Treyarch said people wanted more sniping maps, and if you don't have quick-scoping, you need larger maps for this purpose.

If you look at the thread for "worst Black Ops map", you'll see there is plenty of varied opinion. I'm sure the same can be said of these, but on the plus side they are entirely new maps so you are getting value for money..

found berlin wall quiet good last night, was playing dom in it but teh fact you can climb up fire escapes etc adds a new demension because campers have to keep an eye out both directions not just stick a claymore of senser behind them.
that gap in the walls at teh turrets is a nice choke point. I lay down there last night and pick a good few off.

I like the vertical element in the new maps, Kowloon is all uneven, reminds me of Favela, lots of raised areas and small huts and the like. Discovery is cool, loads of room for sniping, the proper type not quickscoping.

love the sound of kowloon heard a bit of chit chat from the lads about that seems to be popular . definitely agree with the sniping comment saw a lot of that last night on discovery had 2 great sniping games in a row. nice that you actually have a chance against smg's and ar's twice i had people come at me when i was sniping switched out to pistol took a side route and came around behind them and BAM its gone

Found Berlin wall very campy. One game there was 2 in a room having there own camper party all game.
