yeah strong dubbelin accent off her alright, but then again, there's plenty of europeans here long enough to have strong local accents.

HAHAHA no chance, unless she has been here since she was primary school age( even friends of mine from south africa havent lost their accents and they have been here since primary school). My other friends are here 12 years and from same country of origin as her name and not a slight dublin accent between them.
You dont know many other nationalities do you lol :D In order for them to get her accent they would have to never have contact with anyone from their country ever again.
Irina put this to bed? :p

well, going slightly off topic, the son of the brazilian woman that was murdered in offaly was interviewed on the radio today, and he came across like a total culchie.
but i do deal with quite a few eastern europeans in dublin, and some speak english with dub accents, some don't.
not everyone loses their original accent you know!

then again, if you ever hear someone from the ar5e end of argentina speaking pidgin english, then it's likely to have a strong midland twang to it. a lot of irish people from laois and offaly settled there yonks ago.

the more i think of it, the more of a bull**** statement it is that you made. the feckin italian guy who had issues with me for trying to chat up his sister last week had a strong dub accent when he spoke english. he was out with his italian friends too so still had contact with his fellow countrymen. we ended up having a laugh at the accent though.

AH for god sake if i had to sit in a room with someone from the country,i would have their accent down after five seconds lol
Irinas accent is way to dub to be even a mix.

    i was shocked she replied!!

was any of this on tv before the second series was filmed? surely they would've known that friends making videos are not going to work.

lol i know she is real

You would think most men would know not to be telling bunch of women that they are chased all over by women, especially women who go on these shows who may have been burned previously. It will send alarm bells.lol

Not a great show at all tonight. In fairness to the girls none of the male contestants were upto much this week compared to the shows in the past so I was surprised that 3 of them got a date (although I have a suspicion that the two older girls from Blanchardstown made a pact before the show to grab absolutely anyone tonight).
    Raekwon wrote: »
Actually since I'm on the subject, how many women on these shows actually have children? I'd say a good few had children on the first series and at least 3 have already admitted that they have kids on this series so far (with alot more keeping their cards close to their chests I'd reckon). My point is, if so many women are blatantly hitting their lights off because some bloke is a part-time dad then would they really expect a guy to choose to be with them if they were a full-time mother? It really is hypocrisy at is finest!

Add 2 more too that list, so now 5 women have admitted to being mothers so far this series. I'm only mentioning it because of the reaction and ridiculous comments that the two lads that admitted that they had kids received last week. Kind of reeks of double standards to me.

Enjoyed the lad with long hair who made pillows of himself last night! Standard of girls is poor, very poor.

Ray finally talked to the hot girl Cliona, was wondering why he never talked to her. Not the best episode tonight.

But IMO Clara, Jessica and Cliona are the best looking girls on the show.

the standard of woman on last nights show was bleeding shocking especially when you can compare this show to the English one. the amount of bloody hound dogs was unbelievable jeff

Sorry but why cant we comment on their looks? They are putting themselves on national TV and they criticize the looks of the guys on it. Not to mention that they seem to have no sense of humor. Surely they are fair game?

Its pretty ridiculous that we cannot comment on the women just because they are Irish. They are putting themselves out there.

The warning in the opening post was added because some of the girls from the first season were reading the thread. How would you like to read something saying how ugly you were?

Some gentle criticism is one thing.. but everything from a girl's weight to sexual experience has been dragged out here. And that's not right!

Don't care if they're putting themselves "out there" - there are something that are out of bounds.

can we openly slag ray foley then? ah go on, you know you want to too. he hates boards anyway, and he's been banned from it. won't do any harm!!

Because the contestants have come on the thread and moaned about being talked about

I can call Charlie Sheen a manwh*re or Cheryl Cole a tacky chav....but that's OK, but if a WOMEN (the male contestants don't moan as much) on the show blubbers infractions are handed....load of hogwarts!

 - if that's the case you'd have to apply the rules to countless celebs, everyone gets ripped on...but sure these are homegrown gals, is it 'cause they live here that gets the infraction hammer out?

I think the policy is wrong, and the mods from EVERY forum need to moderate comments about every celeb or anyone's who's been on tv.

    Richard,

As I've said before.. if you've a problem with it, start a Feedback thread and we'll gladly discuss it there.

But pissing and moaning about decisions on this thread will be ignored!
