The Bugatti Veyron is from the VAG group and shares the same platform with a Skoda Octavia and uses 2 Audi V8's attached to each other.

Why do people keep flashing me while I drive?

All diesel A4 (1.9TDIIIIIIIIII) are actually badly modified John Deeres and anyone who drivers them are pubesent late teens/early twenties boy racers who plaster their cars with garish bodykits, twin exhausts, flared arches, darkened windows and cover 52.3% of the paint work with S4/RS4 stickers and badges. FACT!!

And anyways this one time at a traffic lights this complete toooolll pulled up beside me in his tractor, I mean A4 hurr hurr, and was reving away. But I blew him away and I was only driving a canary yellow 1.1 Fiat cúnt-to-get-into. I'm a real petrol head me by the way and all A4 drivers are mulchie headed buff shams from the sticks. Also a FACT!!!

A car just smashed into me from the rear when I slammed on the brakes when I was in the fast lane with my foglights on with no tax, insurance or seatbelt. Whos in the wrong?

    Hi,

My manual says that I need to change my t/belt on my VVTI Corolla before 67k miles or 4 years and 6 months which ever comes first.

    What do you guys think?

I have covered 100k miles in 3 years. Should I be ok for the remaining 1 year and 6 months?

PS sorry for going O/T in this insurance thread

The VAG 2.0TDi is about .001% the same as the LeMans winning V10 TDi engine.

Sure if that doesn't work, F*ck It All Together (Yes yes, altogether's one word, but a bit of licensing works well here).

BTW, if you damage your bumpers, they'll either T Cut out, OR, every price you'll be quoted is far too much, and I know a guy who'll do it for 35 Euro and a Mars Bar. But I'd go with the T Cut. It's brilliant, and Mars Bars are far too nice to be giving away.

Also, if your engine management light is on, it's probably as a result of a flat tire. Diagnostic equipment on eBay for 20 Euro is as good as the stuff Dealers pay thousands for. Really!

I have just bought my first ever car a 1998 Vw Polo. Where is the best place to get RS8 rims and other pointless junk.

Whats the best way to insure it as I cannot afford it and me ma wont let me on her policy.

    Meh Meh...

I've seen a huge Mitsuyota Mudcruiser jeep on big knobbly tyres and all the extras, what are they like on fuel, will I get more that 60mpg out of it?

I used the toll twice today, by accident. Am I entitled to my money back?

If you fail the NCT on emissions, putting Dipetane in the tank and thrashing the life out of the car before the retest will always result in a pass. The car will pass even if there is a hole in the exhaust.

The subaru forester is the best automobile ever produced, but most people aren't clever enough to realise this.

Gee Wheeze-slow, ugly cars with not enough range to get you off your drive, nerds and hippies only.

    Fiat- Fix It Again Tomorrow

Volvo- I've Given Up, Just Give Me My Volvo!

Ford- For people who are smarter than to waste money buying VW

All Korean- I have no idea about cars, hate driving and have the mechanical aptitude of a peanut

Saab- No idea, but why are they all so smug looking? What's their secret? Someone tell me!

I've just spent €90,000 on a Supercharged 5.0l V8 Range Rover Autobiography, is it easy to commercialise it so I can get cheap road tax?

Standard Land Rover dealer response to oil leak/water ingress complaint - "they all do that sir"

All Project Kahn cars are very classy and make you look posh.

I need to borrow a tyre to get me past the NCT because the ones I have are bald, has anyone got a lend of one?

Has anyone hear of "SUNWANCHINACHINESE" tyres? My mechanic says their grand. I don't want to spend much because, after all, they are the only part of my car in contact with the road.

I need a new tyre, is 90e expensive?

Skoda are the best cars you can buy, however, VWs, with who they share many parts, will fall apart as you drive away from the dealers.

You need a 6 cylinder BMW to be a real man. Anything with less than 250bhp is "boring" and "pointless".

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,520 ✭✭✭Tea 1000

A Skoda Octavia VRS diesel with 170bhp is seriously fast, can overtake anything and is all the car you'll ever need... however the 184bhp 520d is horrible and pointless and you're stupid if you buy one cause it's sooooo sloooowwww and underpowered. What you need is a 523i with less power, then you'll have more power somehow!

There really IS such a thing as a turbo diesel RS4 Audi ;)

    Ford:
    Fix Or Repair Daily
    Found On Road Dead

    The RS
    Realy Sh*tE

    And The ST:

    Sanitary Towel
    Sticky Tampon

BMWs + old age = Electrical issues

Drive a VAG? Most likely not getting any :D

    Toyota? Baaaa Baaaaa......

Citroen: All fun and games untill you have to use it

Mercedes: Will rust as quickly as you can fart but the engines will go on forever and ever and ever... And ever......

Renault: For the eco friendly citizen, promoting fertility and scrapping perfectly working and roadworthy cars. Hats off to them

I quite like Fiats, even if they tend to blow up on the motorway or randomly catch fire. Gives a whole new meaning to drive like your pants are on fire :pac:

    typical thread

something happened my car, i heard loud noises, 4 lights came up on the dash, they were red and flashing. i drove on anyway, then the car stopped. what happened my car? how much will it cost to fix?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,815 ✭✭✭CrowdedHouse

If you really must have a BMW it's no good unless you have six pots...don't know whether that's aluminium, copper bottomed or maybe Le Creuset but you have to have six

The car I currenty own is the best and anyone with a lesser car then me is a joke and anyone with a better car is wasting money and is pointless on Irish roads.

I have never driven that car but i have an opinion and it is that of top gear.

I did something illegal on the road but was somehow in the right.

Having driven in the snow for a week I am now a Nordic ice rally god who will dish out advice to ye of little car control.

I have wandered into the motors forum and can't believe it, a car is to get you from a to b, what's all the fuss about.

I plan to put 20 inch rims, a phhat twin exhaust, a hooouuuuugeeemongous spoiler, 200o watt subwoofers, go faster flames and undercar neon on my nan's 1989 1 litre 45BHP Ford Fiesta

Would a front wing for downforce make a look a bit boy-racery ? I'm really an enthusiast I don't want it to look too much like a chavmobile

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,503 ✭✭✭✭For Forks Sake

I have no tax, insurance, nct or tyres. I only took the car out "once" and was in an accident. Surely it's someone elses fault?
