This is my newest bike. She's made for me and suits me perfectly (apart from the fork now changed from this pic, I'd say the bars are probably angled up a little, and the saddle soon to be changed too). Okay, maybe I'll never stop tweaking, but I'm happy with that.

excuse the quality of the pics - phone camera isnt great.

My wifes road bike - Giant avail 2, women specific.

My wifes touring/comfy/ride over bumps bikes - b-twin 7 (decathlon)

My mountain bike for when its just to wet and wintery to take out the road bike. (another decathlon bike)

Bought the two decathlon bikes over in France and brought them back to Ireland on the back of an MX5!!

nice job. would you mind telling me what the cost in both euro and man hours was on this ?????? i have a similar bike, giant rapid 1, and have often thought about changing the bars. tis only the commuting bike now - i have a nice road bike for the proper cycling so it wouldn't be worth if it costs a fotune. thanks.

On steel fames the function is to act as a drain to prevent water build up.
If completely sealed could potentially rust out sooner rather than later.

Sealed Bottom brackets were not as widely available as they are today.

I thought about that but thought it would be too low. Its not my bike but I told him to trial it and with all the adjusters on the stem there's plenty of room to expierement. I would like to have finished it off with a -10 degree stem but I think he'll be happy as it is.

As well as allowing water to drain off it was a weight saving device.
