Received yesterday but there are a few modifications to be made:


The groupset is Tiagra (completely, no mixing of Sora or any other types), except for the brakes which are Tektro R538s.
The pedals will be replaced by SPD-SL 105s
The brakes will be replaced by black 105s if they have the clearance for the mudguards, will be checking that this evening.
The Saddle is being replaced by a Brooks B17 Imperial that is being delivered on Sunday. The charge saddle will be making a move to my fixed gear as my saddle got destroyed on that after a collision with the road.
Not a big fan of the wheels either, I am waiting on my next paycheck to see can I afford to replace the front with this: http://www.roseversand.de/artikel/rennrad-vorderrad-28700-c-336506
I am placing two bottle mounts on it, matt black.
The handle bars are a bit widde for my liking, so I may replace them with a set of richie comp drop from my other bike as they are a few centimetres narrower, not sure yet.
The new handlebars will be wrapped in Brooks leather handlebar tape that has been in my room for almost a year.
I might replace the rear wheel as well with the one from my other bike, and sell the wheels as a set, not sure yet, not a fan of those blade spokes.

I have never had a bike with the dual brake/gear control system, so this will be new territory for me. It will be used mainly for my weekend spins, and my old lady will be used as a beater for in and out to work, she has had good innings but it's time to move on.

I am 6'1, the saddle is down about an 1.5 inches since the photo was taken, having never ordered a bike online before, I was paranoid about it being in good nick so set it up ASAP to make sure it was all in working order. the only negatives so far are that the front mudguard was slightly bent out of shape and that there was no crimper on the rear derailleur cable.

Took it out for a test ride today and I am quite happy. It's alot heavier than my other bikes but I don't seem to be putting in any extra effort to get up to the same speeds. The gear thing is a bit weird after so long on friction shifters.

Taking her out for a long spin on Saturday to make sure she's fit for purpose.
