the whole thing is made by ares from everything i've read and seen, magpul are not actually making this stuff themselves as with both real steel and the airsoft lines the contract out to manufacturing company's to act as the oem producer

As above in ElDiablo's link Oddy - they're a pmag style mag for an AK. I use them (after a bit of modding) as a mid cap solution for the galil. Look savage too, as below:

Granted, a galil mid cap would look better/more accurate, but given that they're rarer than hen's teeth and expensive to get from the far east, these work as a decent solution. AK mags just don't look right in the galil (puding may disagree with me on this!) - but I like the look of the beta project mags.

Just note those mags won't fit the Ak lower receiver for the ACR. Those mags are sold as Marui compatible on Ehobby there, the ACR AK receiver isn't. The magazines are unique to the gun. Was discussed more in depth in one of the ACR threads on ArniesAirsoft.

Thanks Blay - I just presumed that the AK lower mags would be the same as the beta project pmags, as they're sort of unique looking and didn't think there'd be two different types of the same mag.

It's something to do with the hop chamber position with the new lower receiver not matching the standard postion of the feed nozzle on mags, it was going around that the new lower might include 3 of the proper mags to suit so fingers crossed:)

And naturally, it'd mean that we'd all need to go out and buy more - which would be the typical magpul strategy.
The worst part is that I will probably still get the ak lower when/if it comes out...

Ok so I've decided to forget the warrenty,,,, so far I've installed a madbull barrel, gaurder clear hop up rubber, vfc gearset, vfc piston and head, gaurder double standard/durable motor. I'm going to test it tomorrow I'll let you know how it goes!

I had loads of problems with a Guarder clear rubber on the standard barrel that the Masada shipped with! Turns out the standard barrels recess where the hop rubber goes is too small so when the nub engages the rubber it can't push in far enough for the rubber to engage the BB to get the desired effect! So we paired the opening of the barrel where the rubber sits and whist this did improve it significantly it wasn't enough. i swapped back to the stock rubber and bingo...hop not just working but working amazingly! I have no doubt that by changing out the barrel to a Madbull TBB you will be fine because the hop recess on the Madbull is slightly wider and bigger. When we looked at why there was a difference in the rubbers we noticed the the little ridge in the hop rubbers sat differently between models. The hop rubber that the Masada shipped with sits on the barrel with the ridge sitting at the very edge of the opening whilst the Guarder clear's ridge is wider and takes up a large proportion of the hole.

Thermo.....what length TBB did you buy for the Masada?

hi lar how did you get on with the masada after the upgrades? accuracy distance etc.,? wat lenght madbull barrel did you put into it. im on holidays but wen i get back im starting my upgrade job. i already have systema helical gears and systema magnum motor to go in with trigger master mosfet. im goin to order madbull barrel just need to know wat lenght the barrel is as im away from home.

The standard barrel is 380 ish mm I put a 363mm TB one In. I put the vfc gears and gaurder durable in, which caused the gearbox to constantly lock up, so I have not had it on the field yet

. I've refitted the original gearset and motor for now and I'll start at the drawing board again.

There was talk of some pistons not quite working in the gearbox Thremo, it's on arnies. Currently have a VFC piston & pistonhead in mine and seems to be going ok

My major problem is a massive airleak from the air nozzle

, haven't found a solution to it yet. Also have an inkling to try and mod a Ver3 bearing spring guide to fit the GB.

When I fitted the vfc gears, moto. Ect I put a vfc piston and head in.

Finally got around to installing an AB MOSFET (AirFet) into mine, all seems to be well bar a clicky feeling on the trigger in semi (possibly a cutoff lever issue). Also stuck a ASG ultimate barrel into it and seems to be working well.

Anyone else installing a MOSFET should be prepared to mod their gearbox to run wires neatly

more info: i got the short barrel set. and wen i put it in and fired it no matter wat way u adj the hop up nothing!! rubber u get wit it is **** and doesnt align correctly in the barrel cut out. i took it out today to test different rubbers in it. i tried a red madbull rubber in it and you get proper adjustment with fairly good distance and accuracy even for a 300mm innner barrel. the other rubber that works well is a soft promey purple. i have a madbull 363mm barrel on the way from hong kong so im goin to test this also to see wat other rubber works well wit it apart from a guarder clear as thermo says they work well. ill be in touch with my findings.
