Break one on your other foot-you won't feel the pain of the 1st break then.

I'm seeing lots of irony in your username.

Punch yourself in the nose - it'll take your mind off of the pain in your toe

    1. Check the hinges.
    2. Check it isn't locked.

Now you get to enjoy 6 weeks of open-toed shoes, taped toes, an elevated foot and limping.

    yep!

my mum broke her little toe and it was sticking out sideways at almost a right angle.

you want to know what she did? nothing, she got me to do it.

i had to straighten it and then tape it to the next toe.

i'd rather break my own toe than have to do that again and feel all the broken bits of bone crunching under the skin as i put it back into place. :(

Jesus Christ, were yourself and your mother in fcuking 'Nam or something??

Would it not have been wiser to bring her to a medical professional to put it back in place???

Get to hospital. They'll make sure it's straight and give you some of those sweet, sweet painkillers.

    Claim!
Broke toe on an upturned slab while walking dogs voluntarily for the old peoples home near by.
By breaking your toe, you were unable to make work, causing you to lose your job, couldnt afford taxi to go to wifes mothers funeral, wife left, had to take out second mortgage on house.
Since then I've been evicted, live in the bus stop by Turners Cross and make money sitting in bins hoping people throw away some notes wth their receipts by accident...
I used to be the Stig...

Surely some compensation is in order...

that would have been my first choice, but we were living in tenerife at the time and it was the middle of the night and an hours drive to the hospital, where they would have made us wait another couple of hours and then done exactly the same thing.

All they'll do for a broken toe is tape it to the next toe and tell you to rest, as long as the bone isn't sticking out at a weird angle or anything.

I did the same thing a few months ago. Get neurofen plus! Ah, sweet codeine.

Did the same about a year ago. All you can do is tape it to the toe next to it and hope it is reasonably straight. You shouldn't really need painkillers, it goes numb after a while.

It takes a few weeks to heal and you have to be very careful not to knock it off anything during that time period as that WILL hurt.

Oh and your toe will always look odd now.

PS: Ask your doctor to put it in a cast for the laugh.
