The animated ad with the nice dog sitting in by the fire, then he gets let out and along with his mates kills a load of sheep. Late 80's I think, my hazy memory doesn't recall exactly what it was for....dog safety or something along those lines I think. My abiding memory of it was having the sh1t scared out of me every time it was on.

Yeah. That's probably the first time I've seen the advert in about 25 years and I still get the tune stuck my head every so often.

Just to get back to the ad featured in the thread title and the aforementioned Robocop connection, It's weird but I actually feel really bummed out listening to now. Not only cos it's a downbeat piece and reminds me of the distant past but also because it's the music that played after you DIED in the game. So everytime I hear the music it reminds me of failure and "game over" It's amazing that a piece of music can have that sort of effect on you even almost exactly 21 years on (I remember playing this game along with Last Ninja 2 around the period April 1989 - strange how everything back then is still so vivid)!

Incidentally the piece was composed by Jonathan Dunn and apparently it's the gameboy version that appears in the ad itself (not amstrad464 or c64 as mentioned by some people previously).

I know exactly what you are talking about I also had the game.

I also had that really odd kinder toy. I remember it from when I was around 3 or 4.

Does anyone else remeber the ad for washing powder with the lines "One speck of dust on that dress and..." It was about a girl borrwoing a dress for a party from her mam and then she gets tomato juice spilled on it and has to go home and wash it? Can anyone remember the washing powder?
