God, when I saw the thread title that was the first thing that popped into my head, the Ariston ad that used the music from the Robocop game. Though, the music in the ad sounds closer to the Amstrad CPC version than the C64 version, to be honest. I should know, seeing as I had Robocop for the CPC464 and it sounds like it was lifted exactly from it.

The C64 version sounds more refined and better quality. Just like the C64 was as an overall machine, I guess, compared to the Speccy or, I hate to say it, in the majority of cases the CPC as well.

There were a few games on the CPC that put the C64 to shame but not too many. The C64 was nearly always the superior machine, much as I hated to have to admit it seeing as I was an Amstrad owner!

Got a bit of a cold over the weekend (no it's ok, no need to fret, I'll live) and I took lemsip and it reminded me of the ad with the laughing policeman. Hard to believe that was 1985.
