I wont vote for someone because they just happen to be gay, no more than I would vote for someone because they are straight. I especially wouldnt vote for a man with views like Norris(Pearse and co are terrorists) to oversee 2016. I also wouldn't want to put a man who has been so outspoken and accomplished so much in an office where he will not be able to do that. He would be wasted in it tbh. Would much rather him in the Dáil.

I wasn't really referring to your views on norris tbf.

Well I hope there's not. People would have no better justification for labelling anyone opposed to monarchies as hard-line terrorists than if she was attacked.

I know some people will see the visit as a sign of how we've matured as a nation, but how immature are those people to begin with; to see an empty ceremonial event as a sign of how we've moved on?!

Yeah I forgot, republicanism is a crime. I find it discouraging that so many have forgotten what has happened in the past, and what the founders of this state strove for.

Remember what her forces did to this country and what we did back to them.

If it means we get a chance to kill some British soldiers then i'm up for it.

    No you're not.

If such a chance arose, you'd still be on the Internet talking ****e.

And if War does come, We will probaly lose within the hour, Because our so called defence force have no guns that match the british troos, and they dont have the numbers. Our so called air corps, dont have any fighter jets i read it on wikipedia, so we can use our 4 spitfires to destroy A Group of around 120 fighter jets only in 1 battltion. and the uk also have Nuclear weapons so basically, we will lose.

Yeah we definitely don't use many of the same weapons as the Brits, not at all....

We just have thousands of hurley's. It's like The Wind That Shakes the Barley but with more Dublin accents.

Shame on you Mussolini for being a Republican, you are as much a bloody disgrace as i am for it! How dare we remember our history and believe in a united Ireland based on the 1916 proclamation, you should change your views to the bandwagon rolling through AH and be disgusted with both of us.

    :pac:

If the queen ever comes to this country, I'll chase her around a field with Dog sh1t on the end of a golf club...

I think you're missing the point. No progress would ever have occurred if people maintained those sort of hardline views on any side.

Yeah, we would still be under brit rule, good point.

Who is this "Queen?" queen of England I suppose, honorer of the Bloody Sunday murderers? Head of the armed forces which did so much damage on this island under her reign?

Unless she has come over to beg forgiveness she can go fcuk herself. She should also pay for any security she may need too. Hope she gets a punch in the face.

Says that lad who's planning to vote for Gerry Adams, nice.

ffs, let her come already and get over it. It feels like forever she has been planning this visit. When I go on holiday I plan it the week before usually!
People who give out about the Brits all the time need to get over it. It's really boring. It's quite racist too.

Pity they won't wait a bit longer. Then there's the possibility of Norris as president welcoming her over which would show how much we've grown up as a nation.

I liked him prior to reading about his views on pedastry and incest.

Yeah, the new laws are terrible. Belgians Out. No Belgian Royal Family visit to ireland.

We probably wouldn't. Anyway I'm talking about recent progress. People could easily view gerry in the same way as you do the queen. Progress comes from moving forward not maintaining the bitterness from the past.

which do think is going to be more conducive to obtaining a united ireland, people welcoming her over or people having your attitude towards the visit?

Go back to bed you. There's not going to be a war, or any attack on the queen when she visits. People can still disagree with the whole thing without wishing for blood to be spilled.

Yes, don't mention the hypothetical war!!

If a queen of England wants to come in on a caravan holiday or something - and they are paying their way, ok.
If they are coming here on yet another useless PR exercise for themselves and/or our heads of state, well they can stay away.
Our elected heads have enough of a mess to sort out here within our borders without having that family Mafia coming to our shores and it costing us more wasted revenue!

The IRA work for her majesty now. Gerry Adams, Martin Mcguinness, great guys. Keep up the good work lads.

    It's not a mock up.

It's Defence Forces troops taking part in a Javelin and .5 shoot in the Glen of Imaal.
