At that height there would be savage winds.

Climbing it would be safer in my opinion though I'm no expert

Im going to go against the grain with this and say that its not as bad as it looks. These guys are so used to it that the height doesnt phase them. Its like when you climb a ladder at your house that isnt significantly high, it doesnt cause a problem, it is just one foot above the other, one hand above the other. This is the same, just that it is much higher up.

I do quite a bit of rock climbing and mountaineering, and you get used to the heights. It doesnt seem like a threat after a while, its all just a psychological thing in your head! Its all a head game!

Id want to be paid a lot for it though!

1768Ft is nothing for a helicopter.

As insane as that is, I'd still argue EOD in Afghanistan right now is also a very, very dangerous job. Those kevlar bomb suits can only protect against so much, many IED's can rip straight through them.

Those bomb suits are of no use whatsoever when you are at or very close to any IED

They are only really of use if it goes off while you are walking to or from the bomb

Funny that you say that because I was thinking 'I would wear a parachute if I had to climb that thing' while watching the clip.
