Says it's Open. I didn't change any settings or anything. It was even working the night I downloaded the new patch. Went to play it yesterday (Thursday) evening and this started happening. Supposedly happening with a few people and Cúntwankers (that's my pun on Treyarch) are supposed to be fixing it. Fairly ridiculous.

I had a great idea last week ( i think its a great idea) alot of people still have trouble with the ****ing campers. What about hot potato and what I mean by that is everyone in the game has to keep moving and only has a few secs to to stop other wise kaboom. I think its an interesting idea

Yeah I know what you mean. I panic spray them :pac: but it's usually in vain . I get p'ed off when your in an open area and you have to reload as your not in knifing distance when your man goes into last stand. Drives me bonkers as your guaranteed to die despite my attempts to strafe like a lunatic.

I saw someone mention a day or two ago. I think it was on twitter if not youtube, it was from a mainstream youtuber but another mainstream guy put it down and yapped on about camping being part of tactics. To a degree, I agree but even if there was a mode that was available.. it'd be interesting to see it implemented alright.

What an absolute cúnt of a game.

Fixed it. The problem was fierce hard to solve, but by disabling the motherboard inside my router, and re-initiating the initial power surge, it started working again.

This is, I turned it off and back on again.

Is anyone else finding the servers a bit laggy ?

A lot of other players seem to have half a second on me and I get my ass handed to me a lot.

Not sure if it's my connection or not, using UPC 30mb doesn't seem to help tbh.

yes i have this problem too, but im on 3mb speed, thats the fastest i can get in my area but have never had a problem before as regards my connection speed. my game has froze a few times on the loading screen, i have to quit the game and start it up again but then it takes ages to sign online again. only ever happens when the game freezes i get knocked offline on the ps3 but yet the internet is still working on my pc.

Fair enough if your using it vs enemy air support, that's one thing. But using it to camp in a corner with a claymore, flamethrower, decoys and thumper is beyond pathetic.

Treyarch were telling us no one perk would be so dependent on. It was so obvious ghost was going to go against what they were saying.

Got really frustrated with Ghost today myself. Spy Planes are pretty default for me in objective games so when im guarding a bomb site or whatever and a little ****er strolls in and defuses without me even hearing (add ninja pro to his setup and fml).

For me the AK74u is lightyears ahead of the other guns. Having said that I am not going to handicap myself and not use it when the entire enemy team are.

Know exactly where you're coming from, but c'mon, hate the camper not the perk. All my favourite moments online in COD4 and MW2 came from being on the losing team in HC TDM, flanking the opposition and punishing them from their the back of their own spawn and changing the tide. You as well as anyone know UAV jammer and dead silence let you do that much quicker than otherwise.

I would however, have no problem with a perk that countered it - to work the same way as SitRep, but instead of explosives players would glow red if they stayed within 10 feet of a position for a period after they had fired their weapon, i.e. not just being still as if they weren't playing, but camping. Hard to make it work, and never going to happen of course.

But pros v cons, I'm all for a perk that helps someone punish the oblivious, if I have to deal with more campers because they're simple minded I'll find a suitable punishment for that too.

I will say, it does get really frustrating when you end up on the same team as those fools, and they cannot and will not ever change their style of play no matter how the game is going.

Maybe its my gamepad... but does anyone else ever get like a gun lock when using a pistol or FAL or something ? Like i'll be spamming R1 and it'll just lock out, i cant even reload. Used to happen in MW2. Really ****ing anoying because i'll have to stand there for like a second waiting for it to work again. Puts me off using the semi auto guns because it happens practically every time clip.

Yup.

FAL and M14.

I think's it done on purpose to stop modded controllers possibly, never happened to me when using pistols though. Likewise, never experienced it in either MW games.

every time i think of playing Black Ops i have think of where i'll be transported to.. firing range, nuketown array firing range urgh. what were the others. i don't remember as its a very unappealing thought which i don't fulfill. i don't care for anything but how good the maps are. whether fresh out of ideas/back to basics/leap year i come to the same conclusion it's the worst COD. then i think of the great maps from WAW that for the most part provided an apt environment for a ground war. even most of the 24/7 COD addicts on my list that just don't play video games (oxymoron, but somehow true) are not online.

its the quickest selling COD? oh the backlash that never transpired. :rolleyes: buy it; don't play it just doesn't make sense. i'm a hypocrite n i feel for the oddballs that prestiged in this junk after a month let alone a weekend. far from a badge of honour, it represents something else altogether

I'm sure this happened me yesterday. Put a guy into last stand. Aim, press R1 and nothing happened. Completley flumoxed

There were bullets in the mag. It was with the AUG with RDS.

Well as said before, I can use a single shot rifle as if it were a fully auto no problem. So you aren't alone. My last few games that I have used with the FAL and M14 have resulted in so many cheap deaths due to gun locking on me when firing despite having half a clip if not more left.
