I'm sorry - this was my biggest genuine laugh of the week.

Nervous: When the central nervous system is affected, a number of side effects can occur such as dementia, amnesia, temporary paralysis, impaired reflexes, memory gaps and anxiety or depression.

That has taken the gloss off it for me really. 90%? Never mind the lotto mate. Your only luckier than 10% of people!

    PS: Feckin class video!

Is that the same 90% of the 40% of people who have had 72% of the 23% of the lightning strikes that have survived the 85% of the 1024 strikes?
Sorry - very facetious sounding. Are there actual stats about this?

Pretty lucky to catch it on film, and even luckier that the lightning strike found a quicker path to ground than through you.

I am from Ireland and speak perfect English, I would like to think anyway.

the only thing that was wrong with that sentence was lack of punctuation.

i wasnt trying to "prove" anything, i was just showing people that this kind of stuff CAN happen in Ireland, and to be careful during this coldsnap.

Tbh i can't remember exactly where i've read/heard the stats before but i think there were a few figures thrown around between 10% and 30%

You should read up on what happened and how it happened ....you're extremely lucky to be alive and not suffered serious injury
