You should tell him that any injuries sustained on the way to or from work are classified at occupational injuries and employers may be open to litigation :D

Oh dear! +1 at Dublin Airport now.
Remember Sat/Sun Jan 9-10 last? a perfect snowfall was followed by a sudden and unexpected thaw. It happened then and it can happen now. It happened only two days ago too.
PS. sorry for being such a moan but just give us a few more days!!

Fingers crossed. The fun aspect of it has gone, it's bloody dangerous out there and tomorrow morning is going to be an absolute nightmare.

Do you have a union rep/shop steward/safety officer on site?

Wonder how far his commute is?

surely he has a duty of care to his employees?

Either way, he is building some nasty karma.

Yeah, took a spin out to Tescos at lunchtime and the roundabout at Killincarrig was like an ice rink with cars sliding everywhere. Thankfully I have a 4x4. :D

Schools are cancelled already for tomorrow. No surprises there.

Remember its 4 wheel drive not 4 wheel stop ;)

My OH had to walk home from work (City centre to Clontarf). On the way home he spotted the Clontarf Gardai using the sand from the giant sandbags that were put there as flood protection on the seafront to grit the roads.
    Very resourceful !

    Nah, nothing like that.
I've said my piece and don't feel I can do much more.
It's on his head now. I hope he gets away with it, if you know what I mean.

At the guy whose boss isn't letting him leave. Either tell him you are leaving now and any crash on the way home you are blaming on him for making you stay so long or get up to go to the bathroom and just don't come back. Otherwise you're going to be sleeping at work.

The forecaster suggests it will 'hit' Dunshaughlin at 19:00, on a mainly Easterly wind.

Its like that apparently, a Maynooth train completely wedged but sat on platform one as hundreds more people arrived trying to get on.loads of arguments and people getting aggressive. (kinda want to be there to see the mayhem):o
