Conditions on the Naas road at lunchtime.

Glad I did not make the trip to Dublin today now ,

Told the lad who works with me to take tomorrow off , the work will still be there next week, not worth the risk in the this type of weather.

Evelyn Cussack on TV3 claiming that tonight and tomorrow night will probably break record temperatures. Nothing expected to change until next week.

To be honest, yes. My brother has been coming home from town since 3 and they won't be back until 6 or 7.

    The Perfect Storm

Over a foot already just outside Carlow & it just keeps coming.
Looks like it could be a record breaker.
This is the one you'll tell the kids about in 20 years.

What kind of industry are you in?

Sounds a bit unreasonable at this stage. Has anyone said anything to him?

Oh dear! +1 at Dublin Airport now.
Remember Sat/Sun Jan 9-10 last? a perfect snowfall was followed by a sudden and unexpected thaw. It happened then and it can happen now. It happened only two days ago too.
PS. sorry for being such a moan but just give us a few more days!!

Must be fun trying to negotiate you way around Delgany.

This was the road out of Charlesland this morning. Resembled a car park:

Yeah, took a spin out to Tescos at lunchtime and the roundabout at Killincarrig was like an ice rink with cars sliding everywhere. Thankfully I have a 4x4. :D

Schools are cancelled already for tomorrow. No surprises there.

Yeah. I was told to stop "scare-mongering"

I work in software. We're doing a live build, but nothing that couldn't wait.

hey Mr? A quiet word, just want you to know, it does be dark at 7am too! ;) tell no one!

Yeah but considering my walking will be twice as slow as normal, it'll probably take me a solid 40 minutes journey time. Then hopefully I can get a few shots in around sunrise time (8.20 according to Google) and will be lucky if im out on my own and not too many people have walked or driven on the snow.

Nice picturesque scenes... with a bit of luck. :)
