you do realise that a black swastika in a white circle on a red background is pretty friggin obviously the nazi swastika, and not one of the "eastern religion wheel of life" ones.

Many other meanings or not, it's very hard for most people to see it and not associate it with the Nazis though. And part of me really doubts that those wearing the symbol in this game are going for the cultural meanings, they are going for more.. shock value I guess.

Yeah but the people on COD have it because they're being dicks, or trying to look "cool" even though theyt probably have no idea of the history behind the symbol

How do you all know what they are using it for? I've personally not seen one and played Black Ops quite a bit so I don't know how obviously Nazi people have made them, but if they are going to ban that, are you also going to ban tricolours with IRA or 32 or whatever on them? My point being that a lot of symbols have different meanings to different people, and there are thousands of emblems people could come up with that would be offensive to some, and mean something entirely different, and important, to others.
I'm just worried it will set a precedent. Who gets to judge what's allowed and what's not?
Oh, and from what I can make out, this change is being pushed by Microsoft rather than Treyarch/Activision.

Lads it's a war game where you run around shooting others, The symbol is hardly meant in anything but the nazi way, most likely done by idiot americans who chances are had amily fighting nazi's.

I just have a quick question or ten about creating a clan. Do you just go to 'edit clan tag' and put a name in? And how do others join, would it just be edit in the same name?

Pretty much. There's no formal clan thing, just adding in the name/abbreviation.

Ok without sounding too much like a noob,theres a few things im confused about,firstly what's the difference in prestige and the normal black ops?,i just have the normal version,and what happens when you reach level 50? I'm on level 45 now and when i get to 50 is there more maps/guns/etc?

You lose all your guns and start from scratch , when you prestige for the first time you get an extra slot for a class , and every second time you prestige after that you unlock another one .
If you play alot of gamemodes its worth it for the extra slots.

Depending on your skill it can take 11hrs + to reach rank 50 again.

I've just prestiged yesterday and am back to lvl 13 already so its not that hard to fly through the ranks again, its not worth it this time imo though, will only be doing it the once then spend all my cod points on every gun, attachment and playercard mod

I thought about prestiging but didnt bother and decided to work on all the Pro Perks instead. Will prob do it when bored of the game though.

It isn't worth it OP, I prestiged in MW2 and lost everything. Had to rebuild my way back up, too much depressing work. If you're happy with your guns' stats at 50, keep there. If you want a fresh start go ahead with it.

yes true but i think if you ask most people whats a nazi symbol is, they will immedietly relate to the red flag with a white circle and a black nazi symbol in the middle, its just known now to be related to hate and racism through world war, same with the iron cross, that dates back to the samurai's as far as i know, but i just think the nazi symbol is just too known for hate and racism more than any other meaning in any other culture it should'nt be allowed.

I've been reporting peoples sig's since the first time I saw a Nazi one (or such ones as a male part going into a horse/man/woman/rabbit etc. Even better if the person with the emblem has a mic, and they sound so high pitched as though someone's grabbing their nutsac.

Really hate the RC Car. 87 deaths to it (next is Napalm with 23), used 57 times (when friends have been on my account), I used it maybe 3 times and then the novelty wore off. It seems to be the really new people and some of the people that are on 3rd+ prestige that use it. Mongs.

Yeah saw on the kill cam. I wasn't sure which side it was coming from so I just lived in hope it was drive past me as I went prone.

I need to check the death by stat. But it's definitely the most used killstreak that has killed me.

I report the little cretinous bastards. I of all people can take the odd racist joke, hell I play the race card jokingly as the ps3 lads know but there is no doubt these fcukers are prepubescent gimps thinking they are cool having it as their emblem.

you gain a new custom class slot n 1st and 3rd prestige's plus its a reason to keep playing, if you have everything unlocked the game wears off pretty quickly and gets quite boring IMO. prestiging keeps you coming back i think

Yeah, i don't like staying at one level so I prestige straight away. Just get bored, I like having to work to unlock stuff.

I regularly play with the same lads always at least 3 others playing at any time, the bit of craic in party chat keeps coming back. Prestieged first out of everybody on my friends list, now can't be bothered.
