    Go around your local town and find all the women you can that have children, are in loving relationship are of a similar age to your friend. Then invite them all over to her house, leave about 3 or 4 bottles of some nice red wine for her, lock all the doors and windows. Let simmer for around an hour, return and watch a dvd together such as the Notebook.

    You will note that all this hassle for choosing gifts for 30th parties will abruptly stop. As you can be nearly guaranteed that no one will ever invite you to another 30th party ever again. Which for me would be a successful outcome:D
