Damage seems to be very inconsistent on mutliplayer, probably just another connection issue. I could be shooting a guy from behind, get three bursts into his head/top of torso and HEAR the little damage blip sound each time and he wont die, but can turn around and spray an automatic weapon from miles away and i'll die in a nanosecond.

I am constantly in the top 2 in TDM and and getting a good few top scores. It just keeps throwing points at me for challenges as well. Love this game! The maps are far far better to MW2's as well. Knife kills are nicer as well, not lunging 10 feet at ya! Altho I saw some weird knife kills where it looked like he completely missed me. Same with a guy who shot me but he had been shooting up into the sky and I died, looking at the killcam it showed him hitting me dead on so just a bit glitchy.

the very same thing happened with world at war,
the sound in general was terrible compared to cod4,
i think it has something to do with sound occulisation, or something like that.

What's the highest rank before you go into prestige?
What points do you get for a standard kill in TDM and Search & Destroy.

My son played WaW which was also made by the same people. He said they where always on the ball when a problem came up in the game. Normally having it fixed in a month or two.

I'd say once it settles down it will be a really good game.

Rank 50 and you can Prestige. 100 for a kill in TDM, not sure about S&D as I have only played TDM, just addicted to it. As long as I mute everyone in the lobby, the gameplay from the community is actually very good, very little cheap kills. I have been killed by some really nice shots!

So still no party chat in this one either. Thats a pity. It was great when you could chat with friends while leaving out all the shouting.

Well you have to mute everyone individually so just leave your friends unmuted. If your'e annoying other peopl, they will just mute you.

Interesting. I never played WAW (late bloomer - got an Xbox because, well, you're never too old!). When I got MW2 I loved it, got absolutely hooked. BUT, I love this game too! Admittedly, have only played a few hours but I can see it taking up a considerable amount of my life over the coming months!

Sorry to trash your theory... but... I kind of see where you're coming from!

anyone having connection problems specific to wager matches?? i have no probelms in the normal playlists but taking ages to connect to any wager games!!

could be cause there is about 350,000 people playing gun game and thats what im trying to play also!

Like the last game you had Marathon and Marathon pro, can you do that in Black Ops, been looking at it and not sure. Also is there a perk that makes you invisible to enemy planes? I can avoid Spy Planes but not choppers.

Go to Edit Playcard and go down to the bottom. It'll probably say 'Riddle' (?) As I think that's the default. You can change it there.
