I reckon I saw The Pixies 5 times. Mostly back late 80/early 90s at the National Stadium.

    Never saw The Smiths.
    Never saw New Order.
Saw Depeche Mode last year for the first time although I've been a fan since 1980.

To be honest, if that was the O2 show in Dublin, you picked a bloody good one to see. That was my favourite DM show ever, inching out the Manchester MEN gig on the Playing the Angel tour, which would be a close second.

2026 Gigs and Events: An Evening with The Fast Show, Prima Facie, Stereolab (NCH), Foo Fighters, David Byrne (3Arena), Belle and Sebastian (x2), Kraftwerk, Paul Simon, David Byrne (St. Anne's Park), Keb' Mo', Metallica (x2), Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Embrace, Sigur Rós with the Ulster Orchestra, Crash Test Dummies, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Ben Folds, Jeff Tweedy, Nicko McBrain

Good idea. I saw the other thread, but after attending about 30 shows per year for ages now, there's no chance to write all these great shows down. Here's the ones I go/went regularly:

    Carnivore (5x)
    Type O Negative (6x)
    Guns N'Roses (4x)
    Metallica (10x)
    Megadeth (5x)
    Die Ärzte (11x)

My favorite 5 shows ever that I attended:
    - Carnivore (Wacken 2006)
    - Guns N'Roses (Mannheim 1991)
    - Type O Negative (Bremen 1994)
    - Miley Cyrus (Dublin 2009)
    - Die Ärzte (Berlin 2002)

    :D

    sabrewulf

Cyrus in '09 and Carnivore '06, both amazing gigs in their own way :p

yeah, was my first gig ever. I thought they were better in 96 for the Load tour, but CoC supported and made it a really good night. I'm kinda sorry I didn't go and see them on the death magnetic tour just for old times sake. Really good setlists.
If I had been a bit older, I would have seen so many good bands around 92 in Ireland...
