Bands You've Seen the Most

Following on from the other thread in regards to bands that you've seen live, and due to people having to struggle assembling band names, I figured we should try this. What band have you seen live the most times - and if you know - can you state the number of times you've seen this band.

    My list, I think, is....

    1. Metallica - 5 Times
    2. Machine Head - 4 Times
    3. Stone Sour/Guns N' Roses/The Darkness* - 3 Times

*If you count Hot Leg, Hawkin's Darkness Kafkaesque** follow up, I've seen them 4 times
**The adjective refers to anything suggestive of Kafka, especially his nightmarish style of narration, in which characters lack a clear course of action, the ability to see beyond immediate events, and the possibility of escape. The term's meaning has transcended the literary realm to apply to real-life occurrences and situations that are incomprehensibly complex, bizarre, or illogical.

I've seen Micah P Hinson 8 times and So Cow about 10 times.

Did you go last night? Was it any good? Much of a crowd? I was going to go but lack of interested mates and some poor reviews of his new album put me off.

There are a couple of bands I've seen a handful of times but Pixies are more than likely the band I've seen the most live, at eight times.

    Brixton Academy, London, 2004 (twice)
Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, 2004 (twice)
    Pukkelpop, Belgium, 2005
    Lansdowne Road, Dublin, 2005
    Alexandra Palace, London, 2005
    Primavera Sound, Barcelona, 2010

It was nice to see them again after five years this summer but I think I've had my fill of them for another while unless they change their setlist significantly. :)

Don't give up, just make sure that the next time they play you go no matter what. The first time I saw them was just after the () album came out and it was like a religious experience :D

Friends of mine have seen them at various stages since then and have all said the same about the first time they saw them.

To be honest, if that was the O2 show in Dublin, you picked a bloody good one to see. That was my favourite DM show ever, inching out the Manchester MEN gig on the Playing the Angel tour, which would be a close second.

Mmmmh, black album era. I saw them in Frankfurt during this tour. They actually played a snipped of the frayed ends of sanity there. Never heard this song live in full. Would love too! :)
