    You are absolutely right, Jumpy.

I'm not familiar with the perp, but from previous comments I understand that he didn't show such sympathy or understanding for those in such positions when he was in a position of power over public opinion, hence the sea of glee and gloating here.

Yez are all as bad as each other.

As they sez in Cork "it takes one to know one" yea Dublin jackeen (well maybe more jackass)

No idea. Unfortunately he is in the Sindo, however, yammering to his mate Barry Egan, journalist par excellence.

An apology that makes some sense = 'I was out of my head, can't remember a thing, I'm sorry to anyone I've offended'.

An apology that doesn't make sense = '(the stuff about few pints and nurofen').

Repeating the latter is only making things worse for himself. He's going to have to live with this over him for the rest of his existence as it is. If he's being advised, he's being advised very badly.

Apparently he accidentally made a generous donation to the collection basket.

Think his biggest problem is that no-one believes him. When he says it was just booze and neurofin, everyone thinks he's lying and that's either because (a) he wasn't that ****ed up and does remember it or (b) he was on something stronger than neurofin.

I wonder has the surname "Prendeville" been ruined for everyone now because of Neil wackity wacking?

I'd submit "having a prendeville" to urbandictionary if only I wasn't too lazy.

Yes Nodin, I quite agree and when you consider that in this Monday mornings Examiner he's now brought recent weight loss into the equation (must have been some load) and then as regards any criminal charges he say's I’m not going to be putting up any sort of defence. I hold my hand up and say: ‘If this is what happened, I take responsibility.’" Me thinks that when he's so far down in the hole that he should now stop digging and whatever else he should make no reference to "puttin up" anything and "holding his hand up", for fear of a repeat offence!! That woz obviously written by some expensive PR guru and not any Hack from de paper!! Also it's easy to see where his apology came from if you remember back to the time when his Celebrity Solicitor got dun for drunking driving!! Finally do you not think that if de Exmainer had not gone "national" that we'd might never have heard of this in the first place. It makes you wonder what the country is CUMMING to!!

See this is a very good point, it should have been all over the British papers, and I don't buy the notion of once the cabin door was closed it was an Irish problem.

Seems like the Examiner have simply rerun the SIndo article. Weak.

Im actually feeling sorry for him now after reading the sunday world, his poor kids what the must be thinking. The had to be taken out of school and I know it's his own fault but still the should not have to go through all this.

Yes indeed, predicted that Git Barry Ego would crop up in the saga somewhere, being a good friend of Gerald Kean i suspect an attempt to get some sympathy. Talk about digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself (perhaps a new place to put his little pecker)

Talk about a self serving heap of tripe in the Sunday Indo, not sure if anyone saw the article photo, Ego and the Shock Jock (hilarious) looked like they had their bottoms spanked.

Looks like there are also some inconsistencies in the DJ's mysterious bout of amnesia also.

    What a toss pot!

My thoughts exactly although to be honest once i saw the photo of the two jerks i moved onto the next page. I see in todays examiner some discrepancies are appearing and also the poor devil is now blaming sudden weight loss (any wonder with all his intense wrist exercising, LOL)

I suspect Gerald Kean is beginning to realize this case is a little too hot to handle and will shortly disappear into the back ground.

Perhaps they are thinking how their own father could have took his plum out and started cracking one off on a plane while he was loaded full of booze and drugs.

The newspapers aren't angels by any stretch but when you tee yourself up in this way then this is what happens.

The headline ->"DJ in bid to save career after jet sex accusation"

Is very flattering. Who did he have sex with? should have said it as it is

Probably but i suspect some late night format listening too and advising sad dysfunctional idiots like himself who have nothing better to do at the wee small hours.

Surely this guy would not be permitted to host a day time, current affairs in fact any prime time show again? no one would take a word that comes out of his mouth seriously again (actually, did they before this incident), can you imagine the texts coming in, admittedly that would be amusing t listen too.

Sure, but you know peoples' memories we totally forget in fortnight, maybe Neill will need three weeks though.

That garbage about "feeling suicidal" or whatever it was doesn't get him any sympathy from me. If anything, if makes me think he's an even bigger jackass. Just looks like a hopeless attempt to get sympathy.

He's finished, there's no chance he can salvage his career. Given the nature of his show - a confrontational Adrien Kennedy chat show - he has to try to assume a certain sense of moral authority which he can't do now. Just picture it, he's doing a phone-in segment on clampers, criticises someone for parking in a handicap space and they just tell him to **** off and have a ****.

Every now and again when walking down the road, Gerry Ryan might hear a sheep impersonation.....considering the legs on that, laughing boy will never be let forget this.

And of course, the more he comes out with crap, the worse he's making it. The whole thing is all on his head. For instance.....

'Weight Watchers **** Factor says Prendeville'

....like a child caught in a lie, who panics and runs to the door marked "more lies". Ye'd have pity for the child, though.

I read somewhere he said that he could only think of how he was gonna put food on the table bla bla and alot of other crap.

Ive no sympathy for a person who makes 150 k a year when they say stuff like that. His wife would be making money and he has his hands in other pies too. He must be one of corks richest citizens. Then the suicide thoughts just made me angry.

He is just after proving he is as bad as every one he criticises of the radio and now is lowering himself to doing paper interviews to win the countries heart back. "paddy murphy" the joyrider from knocknaheeny wouldnt have access to such media to explain his side of the story, but its grand if your a hypocrite, aint that right neil.

I wouldnt wish this on anyone but if it brings at least one stuck up snob back to earth its fine by me.

If only he could interview himself:D
