No going back now. They were off researching it in my absence before we met up, so I kind of have to catch up with them. :(

Guess as long as they get sufficient information, you should be ok.

Yeah but it's just a pain in the ass that they went off and decided to do another company without maybe seeing what I wanted to do.

It's my 20% too, ffs

    Philip O'Regan and FIA methinks.

If so; Apple ftw. Easy access; plenty of info and almost always a 'Moderate Buy' ;)

Jumping Josephine, it's cold in the PC area in the library *shivers*

Now I can enjoy staying in until 9 tonight for a project meeting, and enjoy the rest of the week without (or at least with very limited use of) my laptop, because my adapter chose this morning to sizzle and die. :(

What is it with the shop blocking up the few cans of Blue Bear with about a million cans of Red Bull?

FFS, not everyone can afford to spend nearly €3 on a can.

It takes me 40 minutes to walk into the city centre from UL, and it took the bus 45 minutes to get me back!
    TYPICAL!

I hate to discriminate, but what the hell is it with international/Erasmus students going off on trips at the end of Week 11/start of week 12?!

I.e. the busiest time of the semester when it comes to group projects and stuff?

We told these 2 girls in our group that we were planning to have our presentation done in one of the earlier slots of the week. Only after the place was booked, did they pipe up and say "Oh! I'll be flying in from London that morning" and "Oh! I won't be back from Scotland until Tuesday evening".

The thing is, attendance at the presentation is *supposed* to be mandatory, on penalty of failing the whole project (pretty unfair, but still). We were trying to find a slot in the week that would suit everyone, so it would either be the end of the week, which would leave 4 other students completely exhausted because of 2 overlapping projects, or the start of the week which would leave 2 other girls' grades in jeopardy. (Fair enough, the latter out weighs the former just a smidge).

In the end, the tutor said that we might be ok having just the 4 of us present for the presentation if the other 2 girls contributed equally, so we'll probably be ok with our original slot.

But all this crap would have been avoided if the girls had just an iota of insight, and the International Society cut it out with all these fecking trips so late in the semester.

    GOD. I NEED CHOCOLATE.

Drivers who dont stop at pedestrian crossings really pisses me off, and will cause an accident involving me pretty soon!:mad:

I was about to cross the one near the KBS carpark today @5pm, and there was a line of traffic at that time of the evening. I could see that I'd make the crossing before the car, and as the driver couldnt go any further due to the traffic being backed up in front of him, I thought he'd wait while I crossed, but NO!!! How wrong I was! I starting walking across after making sure nothing was coming from the roundabout to the right, and as I was almost half-way across, the guy decides to drive right in front of me and park on the pedestrian crossing as I walk towards him! He couldnt go anywhere, and I had to walk around the car to get onto the footpath...I was so close to asking him to wind down his window and berate him I was that annoyed....

I thought that was bad enough, until I was returning home, and a guy sped up as he approached the crossing for fear that he'd have to stop and let me cross in front of him..and I had actually been patiently waiting there for a few moments to ensure I didnt step out suddenly, as the roads are wet, and I didnt want a driver to have to stop suddenly and skid into me!

I absolutely detest the amount of trucks coming in and out of the university everyday. They speed really fast down the roads and they are the worst for not letting people cross at pedestrian crosses.

I nearly had a fecking heart attack when the SNAP printers went down. Jesus Christ!

Amazingly, our project was the last thing they printed. :o

Meanwhile, we met up with one of the girls who won't be going to the presentation on Monday (feck it, it's her 60%, not ours), the 3 of us were working on the project since 10am this morning until we handed it in at 3.30 (deadline was at 4), and she was all "Weeell, I gotta go pack. Good luck on Monday, I guess".

Fortunately, I have chocolate now :)

I hear ya, I'm fairly sure that that's the same crossing I was was walking on a few months back, and some fool kept driving and their back tire actually scraped off the back of my shoe (ok it was just a scrape but what if I'd been a bit nearer the car). They stopped then PAST the crossing, and I was going to go back and 'berate them' as you say, but I was too wrecked to bother :/

One thing that got to me is the amount of people munching during lectures.
Most of my lectures are in relatively large rooms so every now and then I
hear someone eating crisps or some god damn thing that makes a hell load of
noise. Its so hard to concentrate with that kinda noise.
    Please stop goddamnit!

    Engineering Maths.
    enough said:mad:

Is there any system in place for having a lecturer removed? A lecturer with little or no control and little or no english to match teaching an already tough module is a disgrace, I've yet to hear of one single student who finds the lecturer in question even mildly satisfactory

    \rant

I talked to a guy who was rep last year and tried to get the same lecturer removed, but no luck. All he could do was get the lecturer to use a microphone and a larger projector LOL, which made it worse really, that mic ir horrible. Too bad I havent gone to the lectures since week 2 :/

Last year we sent a document to the head of Maths and Stats about a certain Maths Lecturer (not Eng Maths, Science Maths and I know she taught Tech too) that was over 3000 words long and was compiled by some of the reps in the class. Albeit, we got an unsatilfactory response....but she isn't teaching this semester ;) so at least we kinda took care of future years on that front. And a lot of people in the module who could barely count managed to pass....so yes!

Call into the Union and ask the Education Officer to pass you on to the Class Reps Development Officer to explain what was done last year! :)
