Also some good advice I can pass on to any newbies to this place or COD itself is to add a few of the other poster names yourself. Many of the people who left the username/ID's in the Sharing Gamertag thread rarely check it out so I've read.

COD(+ general first person shooter) Terminology.....

Noob/Scrub -
For most people, a noob or n00b is someone that lacks intellegance or common sense.

Nub - like a noob but far more extended in the case of someone having played a game or whatever for a long time yet still has no idea what he is doing.

pwned and owned- is simply being completely annihilated by another player or even yourself. The latter would be referred to self- ownage/pwnage. Say, being to lazy to tie your shoe lace and then proceed in tripping over your own shoe lace and falling skull first into the cold, hard concrete. While a Barcauda shark jumps out of nowhere and does it thaanng to you.

Noobtube - A common name for any Grenade laucher attachment that can be used by Assault class. Usually very easy to use and is a must for anyone who is useless.

Quickscoper - A person who quick scopes will use a sniper rifle, but instead of aiming down the scope like sniper riffles were made for, they exploit a feature and shoot when the cross hairs meet, resulting in a one hit kill, despite the fact a majority of the time the cross hairs miss the target. Then when somebody uses a sniper riffle for what it was meant for and look down the scope, the people who quick scope yell at the player who looked down the scope and call them a "hard scoper"

Camper - A camper is someone who stays in one spot and waits for enemies to walk past him before attacking like a honey badger. They're nasty I tells ya.

Another meaning is one who is brandished with the title, camper but is actually playing the objective ie: gaurding the B flag in Domination(the key flag to capture). Most kids would reference many competitive gamers as campers(2 or 3 players sitting back and defending the flag in Capture the Flag. These kids should arguably be put down or least have to fight some honey badgers.
