I watched the replay on the TV3 website there and I have to say it's getting quite boring and predictable after only 3 episodes. Like I posted before the shy nice guys are getting torn to shreds and the arrogant, over confident blokes are taking their pick. The only thing different about this week was you could sense some desperation in the girls that have been there from the start (or maybe the producers told them to cop on?)
Terri is a stunner who knows it and her response that she was glad she was picked because her feet were killing her summed her up perfectly IMO. I also thing Jessie and Lorraine just picked there dates for the sake or it considering that they have both been whittled down a few times, if it had been the first show then I doubt there lights would have still been on.
The excuses are still there though, "I didn't know that song" & "Me da plays guitar too" were ridiculous, highlighting yet again the over the top fussiness of Irish women. On that point it's interesting to note that out of the 32 contestants in the UK series only 6 of them got a blackout. In the Irish one so far it has been 5 blackouts for only 12 contestants. That's embarrassing especially considering that in the Dutch version a bloke dressed in drag got only 4 lights out of 30 out on first impressions alone and then when they spiced things up and threw a woman on for the laugh (for the women to pick)........she even got the chance to whittle down other women down and get a date! They also did the whole 30 men and 1 woman thing that went as expected (ie: the woman had her pick much like Jonathan did last night).The Aussie version Taken Out mixes it up with blokes being the selectors. It would be a ****in disaster in ireland i think though!!!!
True, it just wouldn't work. Granted it would knock some girls with over inflated egos down a peg or two but it would make for very uncomfortable viewing overall plus there would be very few blackouts unless they carted out a Mary Harney look a like

I actually did alright! Couldn't believe how pissed off i looked! Madness seeing yourself on TV - you really have a different idea of how you look and behave!It was that beard,lose the beard.More lights would have stayed on without it.

I know, i know. In retrospect, the beard was a bad choice. It looked awful. Like roadkill on my chin!
Eh, the guitar was not great! I made a balls of it(as I said at the time!) and the sound was going through a ****ty little practice amp! I had brought in a proper guitar amp head but there were some technical difficulties so i had to use a little ****e amp with a cheap overdrive pedal! It sounded like a bleedin bee in a bucket!!!!
I thought i was dressed alright myself! I had a girl come out with me the day before to help me and all! The EFFORT i put in for those girls!So upset, internet down til now Only just caught up.

The guitar was quite good and you are not too bad looking either
. But jeebus, why did you have to go on the attack? As much as it made good t.v. for the us, you would have definately had a few lights on in the end.
Another thing, why did you attack the older lady, she is lovely. Perhaps the others were kinda looking for it, but her!!!!!!!!!
Anyhow, at least you aren't that guy from Wicklow, count yourself lucky.

Last guy was lovely, but my God, all i would wanna do is cuddle him, couldn't even begin to imagine sexy time with someone that huggable.
I only had 2 shots of whisky in fairness! I didn't go on 'the attack' at all, I merely defended myself...can't you understand that?! I could have kept my mouth shut and just taken the abuse but I would have been walking off the stage with my tail between my legs...perhaps I would have had a date but that's not what's important. What's important for me is that my dignity is intact, which it is....(except for the guitar tone and my abuse of the word 'like'!!!!)0 -
