    Hey B-Builder, cheers for the info, TBH that's pretty much the way I expect to try the floor wipers myself, the thing I don't understand is - why does'nt he just move the barbell so it's touching the front of the cage. That way the plates will come out infront of the cage, the cage won't get in the way of his legs...

    If by fun times you mean me not feeling sorry for you and bullying you into training harder, then yes!

    B-Builder, the cage is a bit pointless for floor wipers.
    Assuming you've benched before, then holding 60kg at lockout isn't that hard. Arms aren't an issue for floor wipers, the hard part is trying to keep lifting you legs, doing the 300 work out means 100 raises total, you abs get fcuked long before you might lose the weight

    Oh, almost forgot.
    Tried some 1RMs for the first time last night, normally do 5-8 rep sets

    @78kg
    Squat 120kg x 1
    Deadlift 150kg x 1 (a lot closer to 2xBW than expected)

    I don't want to drag this up all over again. But my point was I have never tried floor wipers, though I have seen one or two folks in my gym do them.

    When you bench, your feet should be planted firmly on the floor, so holding a bar at lockout should not be a problem. I have see folks bench with their feet a) up on the bench, b) just up in the air, and the bar at lock out doesn't look anywhere near stable.

    Personally I prefer doing toes to bar on a pull-up bar. However if I was to attempt floor wipers, I would imagine that the first couple of times without your feet for support, and actually pulling your feet up to each side may create a type of rolling motion. Now before everybody jumps in to tell me this should not happen if you are doing it correctly, I know this. However not being sure that I would be perfect the first few times, I think I would be inclined to use the cage.

    This is where I was coming from when I made that suggestion earlier.
