As some of you know, we have created a fantasy football league on http://www.premierleague.com for the C&H posters.

Was hoping for a load of points yesterday because I had Fabregas as my captain. Fecker wasn't even on the subs bench. :mad:

Three players tonight in Man U v Newcastle will hopefully get me some more points though.

How do fantasy leagues work? I heard loads of talk about them during the world cup, but I never really understood how they work.

You pick 11 players from different teams to make your own team. When they play real life they are given a number of points depending on how they play in real life. The person with most points end of the season.

Basically yeah, you can't afford to buy all the good players, so you have to buy bad ones too.

I wouldn't necessarily say "bad" players.. Any time I've played fantasy football (and I've done pretty well for the most part), I've managed to have a pretty damn good team. It's really about knowing the type of team a player is most effective against, and knowing when to take them out of your team. You can get a brilliant team for the number of units available to you once you know most teams inside out.. Then again, I'm aware that people aren't bothered knowing everything about every team other than the one they follow, so I might just be a tad weird. >_<

Oh, and also knowing a bargain when you see one! Yakubu was AMAZING back in the day, and I got him for a pittance. Oh his end-of-season four goals way back when!

Just looking at the table and fixtures. If someone doesn't over take me this week then I will be extremely surprised. It looks like my 8 week #1 reign will be over this weekend.

Once again the league is showing how close it is. Loads of bold numbers throughout the table. The table has been split up a bit this week because of the amount of bold numbers. Other than that, remember to play your captain (Double points applies only to the captain) well and hope for the best from your team.

Once again there is a pile of Bold numbers. Shows one good week in the league can bring you up loads of spots, which makes the league very interesting.

As you can see Conor is now top and my 13 week stay at the top is over, no excuses. Conor has been playing very good in the past few weeks. There is a pile of bold numbers from 3rd to 10th spot this week.

This week I decided that Tottenham would have a big win so I was captaining a Tottenham player. I had to choose between Van de Vaart and Bale and I made the wrong choice. I would have got 16 more points if I had went with Bale.
