Perhaps they do need more mosques. However that does not give anyone a right to block the streets if there are objections from businesses or residents. It's possible there aren't and in that case they can keep doing it.

These people need to respect local behaviour norms (AND laws). Sorry what goes in Islam should stay in Islam. The Swiss people have voted and Europe should follow and take a stand.

They should simply have to respect the law of the country; like any other citizen/resident/tourist.
What are 'local behaviour norms' exactly?

Hmm...this stinks of more American right-wing scaremongering bull****. Its religious propaganda.

American news networks use this sort of drivel to herd their population in certain political directions.

I don't think they have the right to do that in the street though. Its ridiculous.

These people need to realise that they must like everyone else respect and obey local laws. We don't need more mosques, we need more responsibility.

Who said they were breaking any laws? The video from the nut?

    .

Minarets in switzerland....a video from a right wing US nutjob....I'm not seeing the connection.

Some bizarre fantasy about the world being over-run with muslims....?

If any of the various religious denominations were praying in the streets and footpaths in Ireland (such as Catholics kneeling), I would find it odd and not approve of it.

Public streets isn't the place for such unauthorised, dramatic and large displays.

It used to be the Jews had the conspiracy, at one time, to take over the world.

It's the Muslims, now, who are the scapegoats de jour.

It's really the Hindus though. You wait and see, it's start with a bit of Yoga here and there, a bit of a fascination with Gandhi, then BOOM! no more double cheeseburgers for anyone!

What's your beef with the Hindus?

O yes. Frequently the same rhetoric too. The whole "Eurabia" thing is uncannily similar to the kind of crap circulating pre-WW1 referring to Jews and 'Slavs'. Depressing, in a way.

No more baby Jesus in the crib, instead it'll be Ganesh on the rampage.....

For all we know they are respecting local laws. They could have gotten permission to have the streets closed off for prayers.

Not long ago the Hare Krishnas had a parade through Dublin City Centre, and the gardaí closed the streets while the parade made it's way around pulling a large colourful temple type caravan, chanting, mantras etc. They had obviously gotten official permission for the act, as the garaí were facilitating their progress by diverting traffic etc. In this case those praying could well have gotten permission for what's on the video. If that's not the case then the same laws should be applied to all.

Also more likely than not they are 'locals'.

France is largely Christian, so too is Ireland and it should not be overlooked that other faiths are somewhat feeling self determination in imposing foreign creeds over local faiths. But in Islamic states there is rarely little or no opportunity for other faiths to free expression. As other posters have said, Muslims impose strict rules on all, subjugation!.

You're in denial mode, nothing fantastical, nothing bizarre, on the contrary, deeply concerning. Plenty of role model states in Europe etc, of how things can rapidly deteriorate.

Which states and how are they deteriorating exactly?

No some states impose strict rules. All muslims are not consulted.

However, are you trying to say that because some majority muslim population states (dictatorships and monarchies as many of them are) 'subjugate' other religions, the 'West' should start subjugating religions too?

I'd suggest laying off the Jihadwatch-and-coffee mornings....

I'd say he just pointed out it was bollocks. I'd also imagine it would've been all over the news, were it newsworthy.

    I live in Amsterdam.

Could you outline for me, please, how Muslims are deteriorating society here.
