Did you watch the video properly? Did you see the part where it says that there are 40 different homologues? How is there chance involved when 40 structures are pulling up similar structures J C? How???????????:pac::mad::):D;):P:(:o:p
Chance isn't involved ... that is my point ... such Complex tightly specified functional structures are always intellignently designed.

Through the process of evolution, call that intelligence all you want, I have
no problem with that. In fact it is extremely intelligent in a sense (not in the
    way you mean)
. This derrogatory view of pond-slime to man still holds, I suggest
you study it properly from now on instead of knocking off 1 liners that
are supposed to be witty but simply highlight the gut reactions of someone
who can't face reality. Oh, and there is an element of chance, always...
Again, not in the way you think - that's why I've advised you to study it
properly. I would have thought that you being a scientist would mean you
understand the theory you hate so much and know all about it - I think
you should learn this theory inside out - properly - so that you can
    intelligently disprove it.

... OK ... let us look at what happened when a (Muslim) Neurosurgeon and Creation Scientist, Dr. Oktar Babuna, tried to question some Evolutionist ideas at a scientific conference on Evolution.

Now ... what do you think of your chances of getting a Nobel Prize for invaidating Evolution scientifically?

Acting the maggot at a conference is not the same as presenting real evidence. On the other hand, acting the maggot is about all that creationists seem capable of, we have plenty of evidence for that.
... Why did they take the microphone away and threw the man out ... if they had any answers?
because he deserved to be thrown out
If this can happen a qualified Brain Surgeon ... what would happen a student who asks questions about Evolution?
I don't know why you insist on highlighting the fact that the guy is a qualified brain surgeon. So what? He could be a qualified bin man or he could be the world's greatest brain surgeon, and it still wouldn't change the fact that he was being ignorant and rude and deserved to be ejected, and, he had nothing interesting to say.

Again, I find it interesting that creationists seem to be obsessed by labels and titles. I guess it stems from their hierarchical view of the world, with the sky fairy at the top to the pile, followed by whatever particular religious hierarchy they subscribe to. I guess when your worldview is predicated on such obvious b*****t, it becomes important to cling on to such things as titles and labels. Anyway, in real science, one's evidence and one's reasoning is all that should matter, not whether you have a title or are a "qualified brain surgeon".

On a personal note, most surgeons that I have ever met are complete muppets, so this video just confirms some personal biases of mine :)

We do protect scientists by not needlessly exposing them to Evolutionist ire!!!
You obviously haven't participated in many real scientific conferences.
It was a joke ... you obviously never met Colin ... he was a great guy ... and one of life's gentlemen!!!
No I haven't. I take it that you have. If so, and if you think he was such a great guy, you should have a bit more respect for him than to quote him out of context and try to twist his words to express support for a position that he clearly does not.

And you are missing our point.

Complex biological structures and organisms are not the product of chance. They are the product of beneficial mutations aided by natural selection. You have failed to discern this yet.

duely noted robin but, let me ask you this,
its ok to call creationists who post this sort of evidence online liars but, when J C copies and pastes it onto this thread, calls it credible (even though he knows it's not) no one is allowed to call him a liar?

By calling him a liar i wasn't trying to insult him robin. I was just trying to state a fact.

Now speaking of insults, J C has given numerous false answers to questions sponsoredwalk, ghostbuster, myself and numerous other people on this thread have put to him. After spending much time typing answers showing his to be wrong (which wouldnt be hard), he is now blatently choosing to completely dodge them (To save himself even more embarrassment, no doubt).
Could this not be seen as a personal insult too.....

JC is probably trawling through his collection of late 70's rebuttals to Darwin while listening to the bee gees, in between prayers and hourly readings of the book of knowledge.

Since it's a personal insult, no, the word and the sentiment is verboten.

Lying implies an intention to deceive, effectively implying that the poster is dishonest. It is possible though -- and five years of posting the same drivel suggests that this may, incredibly, be the case -- that JC really and genuinely does believe that what she/he posts is factual and honest. In this specific case, the claim of dishonesty is unfair.

Bear in mind also that if somebody claims that something is credible when it's clearly completely bonkers, then the OP's public credibility will suffer. It's then a more effective debating tactic to point and laugh at the idea and the claim of credibility, rather than accuse the OP of being a liar for posting it and claiming that the incredible would become credible if only one had the faith to think it so.

I sometimes wish there was an anti-JC that trolled the christian forums like he does here. Maybe posting in his style to prove the existance of a spaghetti monster from the lines in his bible....

No you see if you say ANYTHING that goes against the will of the moderators
your post is instantly deleted. Happened to me only yesterday.
Funny thing is in this forum controversial posts are fine, and I think that's
the way humanity is supposed to act. Says a lot when you have to
delete a post that goes against your preconceived bias. Justification?
Ah they are just spamming or trying to create friction - I was being serious
in my post, and it's not the first time in that forum either so why bother going
    there?

Is calling someone a liar really a personal insult? Surely it is just a statement of fact - either objectively true or objectively false. Or is it just the particular word "liar" that you deem insulting, rather than the concept

The whole notion of an insult seems to me to be a fundamentally subjective thing. I might be insulted to be called a fianna fail supporter, for example, but someone else may well be proud of that same label.

You can call him whatever you like, but if any of the forum moderators think that it was done with the intention to insult, then you'll probably be carded or worse.

    Try to be nice.

Is it not time to forget about Mr May? The story was once newsworthy due to the science minister's involvement. However that is now over, and May's book doesn't merit any further attention.

Man I was calling him a liar because that is in fact what he was doing.
It wasn't meant to insult it was to get him to face it, that's all.
I have no interest in bandying about insults, only said to get him to
face the nonsense he was espousing, It seems to have worked;)

Edit: The station is working and she said May will be on later, :D
