Starting Strenght weight gain - sore legs when running

    Hey I managed to put on about 2 stone in a couple of months on starting strenght. Thing is I'm training for soccer at the moment and when I run I'm getting really bad pains in what feels like the shins/calfs area.

    I can only assume it's cause of excess pressure from the extra weight my poor little legs have to carry? Wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and what advice might be out there?
