I started getting my eyebrows threaded with bushra a good few weeks ago, I cant get over the improvement in their shape, I love it, she is brilliant, its practically painless and so quick

This may sound like a stupid question but is plucking with a tweezers meant to be bad or give you wrinkles??

Lived with a girl from the middle east who used to do almost her whole face!! Got her to try it on me and OMG the pain!! The tears were spilling out. No thanx!!! Give me tweezers anyday! Costs you nothing!!!

I went to the lady in Mandala spa last week and she was BRILL! Fabulous shape, she didn't scalp me, and she was really nice :)

Bushra is great for threading and waxing - there are always loads of people in there getting their nails done so i assume that she is good for that too and nearly half the price of other places

Have to try her out next time I'm near Henry St. Love getting my brows threaded and usually get it done in the spa under Toni & Guy in Clarendon Street but can't really justify 20 euro on it regularly.

just thought I'd share my threading experience!

Went to Elysian on Dawson Street, Dublin about 3 months ago. The salon is gorgeous, the girl that did it for me was lovely and I came out pretty happy. I was maintaining my brows for a while but they definately needed to be properly looked at so I went to make an appointment with them again but their prices had gone up a fiver to €30. I couldn't justify it!

Got them done in House of Fraser instead. There's a concession stand called Threads. It's not very pretty and it's very public but the shape is lovely and it was only €17! Definately going back....

    Hi
I go there as well. When i went for the first shaping it was E25 (now E30)then E15 (now E20) for a tidy up once it's within 4 weeks.
I was pretty surprised about the price hike. E5 is a bit steep & they didn't even tell me until I was paying.
But i have to say i'm happy going there. I'm not blessed with natural shape & the girl I go to is great.
I've had too many disasters along the way so I think I'll stick with them.

    Asha

I go to a girl who come to the Glow salon in Spawell, Templeogue on Fridays.
She only charges €17 & did a brilliant job.

Went into Bushra's salon yesterday to get eyebrows done. Job done very quick and rougher than I would have liked and I have raw red patches of skin around eyes now as though the flesh had been pulled out in bits. Very dissappointed.

I'll not be going back again in a hurry. Didn't like the public seating for getting your eyebrows done. I'll be going back to LA Makeup Academy next time for threading - €17, a bit pricier, but girls are very nice and friendly and chatty and are gentler with my eye area!

Got it done in the vanity rooms in Stepaside Village - found it great - wierd sensation though - bit scary when you have to hold your hand over your forehead in case they cut it with the thread! yikes

There is a place in Blanchardstown shopping centre in Debenhams. it's 29.00 euro for dye and threading. I found threading lasted longer then waxing. didn't hurt either.

Had my first threading experience today!! Went in to get them tweezed, as normal, as I hate the idea of waxing, but the lady was really convincing teling me she has been doing it for 16 years in her country, so I went along with it not really knowing..okay it doesn't hurt as much as it is weird and makes you tense up a bit, but def isn't as bad as I thought it might be..

Plus it only cost a fiver :)

My eyebrows regrow like they're on steroids or something, its insane.
I used to have to get them waxed (yes, waxed) every 2 weeks.

But with threading, the shape is so much better and it lasts for a lot longer, i get them done every 3 weeks and it only costs 16 euro.

How thin do you like your eyebrows? I am really tempted to go in to Bushra's but am afraid I'll be left with nothing or uneven eyebrows!

I just need the tiniest tidy up and even out but am worried

    Hi, i love threading...
I used to go to Tony & Guy, and pay 20 euros...
I found this place that Bushra owns, at Mary's Mall Henry Street. (12 euros)
I have been there a couple of times, and i had my eyebrowns done by Bushra herself before. TO be honest, i didnt like when Bushra did it, but there is a woman, called Sonita, she is really good...u wont even feel the pain, and she does it very quick as well...
But ask to do it with her, because once i had it done by other girl, with no experience, and she was sh**...
Your woman didnt even charge me, so embarassed...
Anyway, i recomend Sonita, and the phone number is 0872117701 and 018748018

and there is no comparison with tweezers...
threading is much better, convenient, and lasts much longer, i do mine only once a month...
the Indians are very good at it.
There is a brazilian girl at the bushras sallon, who is very good for waxing...

Bushra, i suppose people have mixed experiences... I haven't been to her shop in a while because i can't afford it :D

Found another girl who does a good bikini wax, thing is she's never available as she works full time :(
When i met Bushra, she'd come to my apartment(Wax, pedicure, manicure, eye brow waxing & henna) She's got a shop now and i don't get the personal choice/quality

I might sound difficult but if i'm spending over €120 for a few hours i'll need a lot of pampering :D
