I may as well put this here:

Does anyone know if emails to residences@tcd.ie are checked out of term? I made an enquiry a few days ago and I haven't received an answer yet.

there's not. take a small tv with you if you want, but it'll be in the kitchen. there's an NTL point in the kitchen/

This is maybe a daft question:

I was wondering if I'd be able to fit a Keyboard (as in the musical one), about 1 metre in length, in the modern accom. single room. From the photos the only option would be extending from the side of the desk. Can't really tell if it'd be hitting the door or giving me a square foot of floor space.

Not daft at all, I was wondering the same.

Definitely, you'll have loads of room, from the end of the desk towards the door.

There are very few non-first years to be honest so I assume they're all lumped together.

Generally speaking, they try to group people with vaguely similar courses. This tends to put first-years together, yes.

    Not always though...

There was nobody else from my class in my apartment last year, and also... 3 of us were 1st years and 3 of us were 2nd years.

    Worked out well though!

It seems people from the extremities of the country should arrive between 3-5.30pm.
I was all ready to leave at dawn! :p

AndrewJD - yeah, I think we can basically turn up whenever, provided we're there for our house's meeting with the warden. In case you haven't already found it, this page has all the info:

    Anyone else in house/building 82?

Read the posts before this one, that are ON THIS PAGE- 12 or 16 to a house, cant remember which one, share a kitchen and living area with all them, and a bathroom with your floor (6) and you have a room to yourself.

I'm not blind sir. I saw it, it was just the fact that 16 people to a kitchen seems a bit heft don't you think?

    Whereabouts is 79? Good spot?

Here is a map of Trinity Hall I've uploaded - http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/6666/img20100907002.jpg
It's a photo of a picture that was printed from somewhere on boards I believe, but I've no idea where. Anyway, hope it's helpful!
