Paid a visit to Drinkstore yesterday and picked up...

    VICTORY HOP DEVIL
    GOOSE ISLAND I.P.A
    SIERRA NEVADA SUMMERFEST
    Sierra Nevada's 2009 Bigfoot
    BATEMANS DARK LORD
    BREWDOG Mikkeller Collaboration

This is fantastic! Save it until last - you would be hard pushed to find a more hoppy IPA

Yea not a massive fan of them, if you can get your hands on Fullers Brewer's Reserve No1 I though that was nice

IS that the whisky cask aged one ...??? Don't remember the No1 bit but I had some sort of a reserve from them packaged in it's own little box and really enjoyed it. A bit expensive over here but worth a shot at one bottle at least for people. I got it for about 5euro in the UK last year.

I'm guessing you mean I Hardcore You (I have a review up today, incidentally).

There's another Brewdog/Mikkeller collaboration called Devine Rebel, which is absolutely fantastic (my review here). I mention it because DrinkStore are due to get a new aged version of it soon.

Same brewery, but slightly stronger than O'Hara's. Very nice, though not as good as Belfast Black, I think.

Yeah, had a proper look at it and it was quite clearly O'Hara's, didn't end up drinking it though so will have to get up to M&S soon.

The Clotworthy Dobbin was delicious, will definitely be buying more.

Could anyone tell me where I could get some Sierra Nevada Bigfoot?

Huge fan of everything Sierra Nevada and have tried a lot of them but none of the Seasonal ones (Bigfoot, North/South Hemisphere, Estate).
I know drinkstore have the Southern Hemisphere Harvest atm but no Bigfoot. Or what time of year is it usually released?

Really? I'm sure I saw it last time I was in, on the 4-for-a-tenner deal. Any of the other decent beer offies should have it -- Deveney's, Redmond's, McHugh's, Carvill's etc.

January. My advice is never drink a bottle of the current year's vintage. It always needs at least a year to settle down.

Thats the plan. Buy 12, drink 6 after a year and the other 6 after 18 months.

Could be worth keeping a few to drink in future years too -- to compare the 2010 with the 2011 and 2012 in 2013. Or is that the sort of mad thing only I do?

It's a good idea to ask in Drinkstore for what you're looking for if you don't see it on the shelves. They have a huge selection but limited space so the beer you want can often be pulled from the store room.

I got Bigfoot in Drinkstore last Sat.
Now I think I took the last one of the shelf but as others have said just ask and they will go back into the tardis and get you some more.

By the way it was really nice and would recommend it to any Sierra Nevada fans out there.

    Nope, me too:o

Don't have any big foot ageing but I have, in large bottles: Chimay Blue, Cuvee Van de Kaiser (blue and red) Mc Chouffe, Duchess de Bourgone, La Trappe Quadruple, and in smaller bottles: Mariage Parfait, Gouldenband, Orval, Aventinus Eisbock, Thomas Hardy, Old Tom, Shamiclaus, Ola Dubh 12, all maturing nicely in the back of a cupboard!!

But I guess this is off topic as I'm not going to be drinking any of them this week!!

Opened a bottle of Delirium Tremens. My first time to taste it and I love it. Will be getting more of these.

VICTORY HOP DEVIL : It was nice but no where as nice as Goose Island , Sierra Nevada,Brew Dog to name a few. TBH I didn't think it was that hoppy but then again I had a bad experience before drinking this.

I opened a bottle of Speakeasy Prohibition and without pouring took a little swig ! Bad mistake as the bottle must have been opened already or some air had got in and basically it was like drinking a load of vinegar ! Washed my mouth out with everything but couldn't get the taste back for a long time.

GOOSE ISLAND I.P.A : See above , I think I would rate this up there with Sierra Nevada for a great hoppy drink. After the Hop Devil I had this and my tatse buds were restored !

I just had a bottle of Samichlaus beer. At 14% it is a real sipper and is actually a lager.

Bull and castle this evening and went from Sierra Nevada and Galway hooker on tap. What a great choice!

I'm quite enjoying the Dungarvin Brewery's Copper Coast red ale. Surprisingly nice. I shall be trying their stout later.
