    Just wondering how you go about making your choices.

    Do you look at the fixture history, recent form, or is it just a case of pot luck? Also i notice a lot of your bets are backing and not just laying; do you use betfair for both?

    The reason i ask is that i'm considering doing something similar and i don't like betfair - for a number of reasons. Thinking of starting off with something like 20 euro, enough that i wouldn't be distraught if i lost it all.

    I use Soccerway for checking head to head results and their most recent run of results, which helps me make my selections.

    I'm using Betfair for both at the moment. It's where all my money's at and there are more (similar) markets on Betfair and better prices too, even after their 5% commission!

    I'm not overly fond of Betfair to be honest, but once you get used to it, it's not so bad!

    Don't kid yourself, even though I'd still be up €79.49 if my bet loses tonight, a €262.75 loss will hurt.

    I should have waited until the morning to make my selection. I probably would have backed Japan v Guatemala for over 1.5 goals first. This is one of the draw backs of navigating Betfair's website and waiting for certain markets to become available.

    L'prof,

    I was thinking more about what you said earlier. Given the fact that most of your recent bets have been backing, and you've been struggling to get a market early enough - i think using something like Bet365 would make much more sense; for a number of reasons.

    Firstly market availabilty would be a big thing. Also no need to worry about getting your stake matched. But more importantly is the ability to bet on multiples.

    Given the fact that you are staking your whole bankroll each time (less the skimming) there wouldn't actually be any extra risk involved, just increased profit.

    Maybe something to think about, but you probably already have.

    I have indeed. I don't think there's any problems getting bets matched as such, I just have to give myself time before work to do so.

    Isn't there a risk of my 365 account being closed if I'm continuously backing short odds events and winning?
