Perfect example :) ,i was also trying to say that the WA2000 project is being done by ARES but to be honest would it have been done right now if MW2 didnt have it?

knowing ares/star, yes more than likely they already have a history's of producing unique replicas and producing, know there quality is not always the best and the design implementation could be a little off ( the wa2000s completely impractical tube magazine being a more up to date example of this ) but never stopped them being a little different which is not a bad thing and something that has been lost to airsoft manufacturers of late, there are certainly a lot more popular and easier to produce replicas that they could have cashed in on from the MW line

where as the airsoft PTS magpul is 100% a cash grab to cash in on the hype around MW, you have to hand it to magpul they certainly know there market, any company that can get people to pay almost the same amount of money for low quality versions as people do for the real thing you have to take your hat off to.

but a curve ball for you, ares do appears to be the oem producer for this replica, small world

The Morita is basically a kit for a Ruger, which you can actually buy in the US if you want.
Someone over on Arnies has a fully operational airsoft Morita. He custom made it, but I can't remember what the base rifle was. It's been a long time since I saw it.

I thought it was aliens but guess I must have been wrong.
There was some sci-fi movie I watched years ago where
there was some form of assault rifle where to fire it you
squeeze the handguard rather than the gun having a trigger
it its usual spot. Anyone remember what gun it was ?
(It wasnt a star-trek phaser rifle)

Gewher 43, don't know why but just always wanted one.

    One day maybe, one day.

I'd love to see more classics making their way into airsoft, especially WWI and WWII weapons. I'd love an M1 Garand but those Marushins are bloody expensive.

Edit: On a side note, I'd really like to see more WWII kit made available! You can buy 50 different types of tac vest but WWII reproductions are way too difficult to find.

Whoa... resize that, will you? I'm reading this on a 24in wide monitor and it's still going off either side of the screen.

Also, you can get a Moison Nagent already. It's expensive and reports are that it's reasonably rubbish, but you can get it.

If we're talking about classics, I want a Lee Enfield. I don't even care which one, but I'd prefer a No.4. I also want an MG42 and I wouldn't say no to a reasonably priced BAR (yes, I know they're already available. I've lovingly fondled Lemming's one already). I also want an M1 carbine, but with the folding paratrooper stock.

As for modern stuff, I really, really don't like AK's, and even I think a VSS is long overdue.
A Shipka or Ruger MP9 would be interesting, break up the mini-SMG market a bit. I'll reiterate my constant, unheard cry for a Bofors AK5D and a H&K MSG90, and add I'll add a Vektor CR-21 to that list of serious wants.

Also, on the off-chance a manufacturer is reading this, any chance of a Denel NTW20?

"yeah but I don't want to pay for it. Why can't DBoys make one for fifty quid?"

I've seen that, but every time I visit that page, I get distracted by the De-Lisle beneath it...

Thats the Auto Assault-12 i blame MW2 for it and PREDATORS,

Heh. You're both wrong on the blame game. If you want to blame a film or computer game, blame that most awesome grand-daddy of the PC RPG genre; Fallout 2 :p

Jaysus, I can't believe nobody has come up with this beauty!
That said, most people this side of the world don't know much about the weaponry produced by Denel, Armscor etc. Trust me, they made some seriously hardcore toys!

And yes, I would agree that it's probably the gun that inspired the sniper rifle in Halo :D

    http://homemadedefense.blogspot.com/2009/12/denel-ntw-20-20mm-rifle.html

Is that sexy, or is that sexy???
An airsoft version would probably cost at least 3K, just to pay for all the metal :D

All these .50 anti-material rifles in the thread are out of place IMO, we have 3 or 4 of them already, they weigh 10kg and fire a 6mm bb @ <1 joule, its just weird that everyone wants one in this thread, but would usually never buy or use one, they belong on walls, most conveniently as a poster.

The VSS would be great, if it was nice and quiet, and stripped for transport as the real one does. It would be along the lines of its real counterpart, a short to medium range, quiet, select fire sniper weapon, perfect. That it isn't made yet is madness, eastern euro-airsofters alone would buy them in their droves as would all the russian style players. Maybe even more useful and desireable than a dragunov.
