I just want G&P to pull the collective finger out of their arses and finish the Stoner 63 LMG prototype they've had languishing in development for the last year or so.

And an m2019 (so I can wear my trenchcoat whilst airsoft'ing, and talk about attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion & C-Beams glittering in the darkness near the Tannhauser gate).

Oh, and a PKM. Yes please

edit: I'd just like to add that Hoplite has excellent taste.

edit 2: On mention of GBBRs by Gatling; an m3A1 * GBBR would be f*cking orgasmic! Pull the trigger and let that baby dance in your hands :D

    * Yes, I know Hudson did make one many moons ago. But that was many moons ago ... good luck finding one ...

GBB LR300 - there was some talk about one coming out later this year, but it's all gone terribly quiet on that front lately.

Also - a conversion set for a FNC to make it into one of these would be nice (AK5...):

Yup, and there's a snub-nose "police-issue" one that got released about a year and a half ago. But the blade-runner issue m2019 is nigh-on impossible to get, if at all.

    Accuracy International AS50 sniper rifle

    ai-as50-0.jpg

    ai-as50-1.jpg

    Caliber: 12.7x99mm / .50BMG
    Operation: gas operated, semiautomatic
    Barrel: 692 mm
    Weight: 14.1 kg empty
    Length: 1369 mm
Feed Mechanism: 5 rounds detachable box magazine

The AS50 fifty caliber (12.7mm) sniper / antimateriel rifle is the latest development of the famous British company Accuracy International Ltd. First displayed in January 2005 in USA at the ShotShow-2005, this rifle reportedly has been developed especially for US SOCOM users, and is now being tested by the US NAVY Special Operations center. The AS50 is to provide combat operators with highly accurate and rapid aimed fire at extended ranges. To achieve such goal, the AS50 is built around gas operated, semiautomatic action, with "single rear locking" (most probably, this mean a tilting bolt). The two-part receiver is machined from high grade steel, the barrel is free-floated and fitted with effective muzzle brake. Easily detachable buttstock is fitted with recoil-reducing buttpad, as well as with folding rear grip, which also serves as a rear support leg. The folding quick-detachable bipod with adjustable legs is fitted as a standard. Top of the receiver is equipped with full length Picatinny type rail which can accept any compatible scope mount; two additional rails are mounted on either side of the short handguard / barrel jacket. Rifle is fitted with four sling mounts, and can be brought down to basic sub-assemblies within three minutes for maintenance or compact transportation or storage. Rifle is fed using single stack detachable box magazines, which holt five rounds of ammunition.

The Automatic Assault-12 would be a great gun to see in Airsoft my idea would have it be an tough replica and have it gas powered automatic, its round mag looks like it could fit about 50 gas TM Spas shells

It may be made by Ares since they have been making a lot of guns from video games like the WA2000 the M82 and the Intervention along with the M240 and the many M4 Variants and the PPSH

I'm pretty sure the guns came before the games. In fact, I'm pretty sure the PPSh predates computers...

Even in airsoft terms, the majority of those were out long before a game made them popular enough for people to take notice. I remember, several years ago, coveting the Asahi WA2000, for example. Long before a game made it famous.

its a chicken and an egg thing really, but it can go both ways, certain guns can make it into videos games because a replica is available for the developers to get hold of ( sometimes they work in country's where the real thing is impossible to get and they want something to model off of other than pictures ) a classic example of this is the metal gear solid and MW2, TMs Ak spetznaz7.62 was used in both games although it does not exist in the real world, where as some replicas are fulled by the release of games, again TMs famas and psg1 replicas sold massively when they came out due to there use in the first MGS

with ares a few of the replicas pre date the games, and where product line was always a little eccentric in the star days, it has become a little bit more consistent with ares going it alone, there move to open a US office and focus replicas for that market could have more to do with the barret and m240 in the works for example

The Morita assault rifle from Starship Troopers

Perfect example :) ,i was also trying to say that the WA2000 project is being done by ARES but to be honest would it have been done right now if MW2 didnt have it?

knowing ares/star, yes more than likely they already have a history's of producing unique replicas and producing, know there quality is not always the best and the design implementation could be a little off ( the wa2000s completely impractical tube magazine being a more up to date example of this ) but never stopped them being a little different which is not a bad thing and something that has been lost to airsoft manufacturers of late, there are certainly a lot more popular and easier to produce replicas that they could have cashed in on from the MW line

where as the airsoft PTS magpul is 100% a cash grab to cash in on the hype around MW, you have to hand it to magpul they certainly know there market, any company that can get people to pay almost the same amount of money for low quality versions as people do for the real thing you have to take your hat off to.

but a curve ball for you, ares do appears to be the oem producer for this replica, small world

The Morita is basically a kit for a Ruger, which you can actually buy in the US if you want.
Someone over on Arnies has a fully operational airsoft Morita. He custom made it, but I can't remember what the base rifle was. It's been a long time since I saw it.

I thought it was aliens but guess I must have been wrong.
There was some sci-fi movie I watched years ago where
there was some form of assault rifle where to fire it you
squeeze the handguard rather than the gun having a trigger
it its usual spot. Anyone remember what gun it was ?
(It wasnt a star-trek phaser rifle)

I'd love to see more classics making their way into airsoft, especially WWI and WWII weapons. I'd love an M1 Garand but those Marushins are bloody expensive.

Edit: On a side note, I'd really like to see more WWII kit made available! You can buy 50 different types of tac vest but WWII reproductions are way too difficult to find.

Whoa... resize that, will you? I'm reading this on a 24in wide monitor and it's still going off either side of the screen.

Also, you can get a Moison Nagent already. It's expensive and reports are that it's reasonably rubbish, but you can get it.

If we're talking about classics, I want a Lee Enfield. I don't even care which one, but I'd prefer a No.4. I also want an MG42 and I wouldn't say no to a reasonably priced BAR (yes, I know they're already available. I've lovingly fondled Lemming's one already). I also want an M1 carbine, but with the folding paratrooper stock.

As for modern stuff, I really, really don't like AK's, and even I think a VSS is long overdue.
A Shipka or Ruger MP9 would be interesting, break up the mini-SMG market a bit. I'll reiterate my constant, unheard cry for a Bofors AK5D and a H&K MSG90, and add I'll add a Vektor CR-21 to that list of serious wants.

Also, on the off-chance a manufacturer is reading this, any chance of a Denel NTW20?
