Ireland's Most Interesting Transport Tunnels

    As a companion to JDs bridges thread, how about tunnels. Road wise its limited, but there are loads of rail tunnels both closed and open. I'll kickstart it with a few that I have seen but sadly didn't photograph. (so piccies borrowed from generous internet souls.)

    The first is Durrow tunnel on the Waterford - Dungarvan stretch of railway. I saw this one when it had actual track through it like the photo below.

    Barnagh Tunnel on the old North Kerry railway more or less as it looks today. Highly recommend this greenway walk.
