Ever seen the movie Downfall? A guy played Hitler in it.

but you knew it was a movie, how did you miss this part of my point?????

He could be some poor schmuck on his way to a job interview rather than an 'evil' business man. I wonder if our brave white shirted hero would challenge certain other residents of city centre Dublin so quickly....

You could be right. He could be just fired etc.

I know this is a 'movie' too. It's so obviously fake.

It does matter. The look on his face when he was confronted said it all:

"But, you can't tell me what to do; I'm the one in the suit - You're just some mere mortal in jeans and a t-shirt"

..... and when he changes out of his suit he's still a pr*ck.

Can't help but doubt the realism of this video but I'm amazed by some of the responses.

I've actually done this on a number of occasions in France. Saw a young guy with his girl friend walking down a busy street. Not more than metre away from a bin he throws his half eaten kebab and chips dish on the ground.

I jogged back to him and abruptly stopped and questioned why he couldn't wait another 2 seconds and make the same action over the bin, he told me to mind my own business and **** off. I quickly responded informing him that if he didn't he would be eating the rest of it off the ground and to have a little more respect for his environment. He duly obliged with a rosy red face. It was an empty threat but I'm happy he picked his **** up off the ground.

The best excuse I've heard when confronting a filthy litter bug is sure i couldn't care less, I'm not from this town. But you are from planet earth, right?

I hope the lady who thought it was a good idea to dump her baby's soiled nappy outside my workshop is a member of Boards... the nappy accidently opened up on her lap when i was returning it to her , i'm still waiting for her to carry out her threat to sue me over ruining her blouse and skirt..:)

OMG, you're soooo self righteous, like why didn't you just say nothing and continue to live in other peoples filth rabble rabble.

No, because he put it on Youtube.

Sweet FA. I like my teeth intact. What would you do? What's your point?
Stop complaining, the guy in white is doing more for the country than any of you apes that are complaining about him.

I don't think anyone actually believed he was the real Hitler.

I wonder if any of the people on this thread that are not impressed with the white t-shirted guy are litterers themselves...?

It's not a stupid assumption, I really do think you should take up comedy as a profession.

    I heard "plunker" too!

Anyway, the idiot in the suit deserved to be pulled up on it if he just threw an empty bottle away. Pity the video cut off towards the end, seems the lad who picked up the bottle went to put it in yer man's pocket! gas!

It's a pity there aren't more people around who want to take a bit of pride in their surroundings.

Looks to me like the bloke in the suit thinks he can do what he wants and get away with it... I've seen this mentality before - people think that because they're dressed in a suit that they're automatically more important than others, and more entitled to act like a pr**k.

Fair play to the lad who picked up the bottle and went after the litter-er!

completely agree with you. how someone can call the guy who challenged him a prick is typical these days. fair play to the fella who called him up on it.

I can't believe a grown man would throw a bottle on the ground, and in public! Who does that when you know people will see you!

I always wait until no one is around.

I know the suit's name...Surely boards would get in **** for allowing people name names??

The skeptic in me says there's a good chance it's fake. The guy with the camera just happened to have it on at the right time?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 959 ✭✭✭changes

Fair play to him. That should be a campaign, i'd love to see the black haired guy on a TV show catching people like that it would be funny and a good service to have dirty sods like that other guy being pulled up on littering.

If he "dropped it on the ground back there" why was he facing back the way he'd just came from?

Also, did the hero just arrive straight from 1991 in that get up?

I don't think you can extract the truth from this clip by analysing it, or commenting on the clothing. :pac:

Fair play to whitey, he sure showed suity.
Even if it is a fake video, didn't it get people talking.
If a litter warden caught Suity doing that, he'd get a €150 euro fine (or maybe €175.)

Something doesn't seem right about this video. As other posters have already mentioned.

Camera is in a very convenient spot.
Why is the man in the suit facing the direction he supposedly came from?
Why is there no label on the bottle?
Why does the youtube user only have 1 video? Also she's from Ireland, whats she recording on henry street for?

I also noticed that for a split second you can see the man in the white t-shirt give a nano-second smile often associated with people trying to hold in laughter during a "serious scene." Pause at 16/17 seconds and you'll see it clearly. IMO they know each other..

He should hassle and video those fools who cycle on footpaths when there's a nearby cycle lane.
