    This is the type movie I've been hoping and hoping for film makers to produce ever since I saw the fine movie that was Snakes in a Plane.

    PLease remember that the op is a troll, he is the same poster who once stated that the Final Destination films were deeply offensive as people died in accidents all the time, he also called Meet the Spartans one of the best comedies ever made.

    Back on topic, Piranha is the perfect film to utilise 3D to its cheesy fullest. Bouncing boobies, blood and body parts leaping from the screen, what's not to like. Granted it will never be considered high art but come on it's a b movie and as long as it can put a smile on your face, there's nothing more you can ask from it.

    Exactly. It is an honest film, they know exactly what they're going for and they're doing it without regret. I may actually go and see this one for the laugh and becuase I haven't actually seen any 3D yet.

    In fairness, from the 50's all the way into the 00's. the third dimension has ALWAYS belonged to the B movies and shlock horror sequels, so the reality is that nothing has 'happened' to 3D with the exception of a brief break out into bigger budget shlock (yeah I'm looking at you Avatar - proof that you CAN polish a turd).

    I'll be there, for nostalgia's sake (I have a soft spot for Joe Dante's original that both thrilled and scared crap out of me on TV as a kid) for Kelly Brooke's baps and a bit of cheesy fun, my only concern is that the trailers are pretty underwhelming and the film looks inept rather then entertaining. The movie (and I hate to say this believe me) looks like it needed Robert Rodriguez in the hot seat.

    I enjoyed this as a project in 3D. It felt like it was made AS a 3D movie not an ordinary film with 3D tacked on. I'll never watch it on DVD and those that see it in old 2D style are gonna miss the whole point of it.

    Just saw this movie tonight. It is glorious. I totally recommend everyone to see it.

    It's just laugh out loud funny - it's got such hammy dialog and terrible acting, but my god - it's the best fun I've had in the cinema all year.

    Seen this tonight, great fun.

    Crowd loved it too.

    I avoid all movie adverts and commercials so I had never heard of the movie until tonight and so watched it unspoiled.

    I say 'unspoiled' as I have just read this thread from the start and can't believe some of the scenes are being giving away without spoilers.

    Anyway, good fun popcorn movie and Kelly Brook naked as a bonus.

    Thumbs up for me.

    Saw this and i have to say it is as bad as i thought it would be. Plot holes all over the place, characters going missing, awful dialogue, terrible effects and a story as predictable as a kilkenny hurling match.

    It was glorious.

    It was quite funny actually.

    The thee rows in front of me were blokes mainly, only the odd woman.

    Then all behind where the usual Friday night couples ..
    During the Underwater swimming scene, you could hear the guys with couples laughing at first and then kinda forcing the laugh to show they weren't getting boners or anything like.

    But the rows in front with mainly guys were all just mouth open, cheesy grins.

    In saying that, down front there were around five girls who were cheering the scene.

    Anyone who hasn't seen it, I'd say try and see it with as large a crowd as you can for the atmosphere.

    Watching it on your own, during the week when it's quite just wouldn't be the same.

    Unless you a cinema fapper, then work away :p

    Saw this tonight and thought it was so bad it was hilarious! It takes the piss outta itself. I was definitely surprised. Probably helped that I'd already had a few drinks.

    Bit shocked at the gruesomeness of some scenes plus full frontal nude shots for a 16 cert film. .. er, actually, what more could a 16 year old boy want!!!!! :pac:

    Saw this last night and thought it was brilliant.

    They got the mix of gore, tits, one-liners, cringe moments perfectly. As well they did just enoguh taking the píss out of themselves too which kept it funny.

    Also Kelly Brooks Funbags in 3D.

    Pretty dissapointed with this - I was hoping it would be good in a bad way but it was just bad in a bad way. Not remotely scary or funny (except for Christopher Lloyd hamming it up that was class!). I could see 15 year old boys getting a kick out of the tits n gore alright but in the days of the interweb is this as big a thrill for teens anymore?

    3D was a waste of time for the most part - I thought I'd spend plenty of time ducking Pirahna leaping straight at me but it wasn't like that at all.
