    14-17 FT.

A decent result considering the Leicester side fielded.

Good to hear Leamy got on the scoresheet.

    Were there any significant knocks/injuries?[/QUOTE]

Actually it was 13 -17, Munster got a late penalty and decided to go for the corner, didn't score from it :(

Was a good enough result considering the difference in the qualitity of the two teams.

Denis Hurley went off with what seemed like a knock but he walked off so hopefully he'll be ok.

didn't see much ball in hand, defensively was good, worrying that he came off at HT with icepack on BOTH legs...

Who's Ian Dineen? He was in the squad last week too. Is he any use?

Should read Ivan Dineen. Plays centre, was very useful for Christians and the Ireland U19's a couple of years ago. Has played a fair bit of AIL with UCC.

They've been bringing him on slowly the past couple of years but has the potential to be a very useful player

Johne Murphy at centre should be interesting. Backline lacks a bit of dynamism beyond 10. I like the look of that pack though. Good to see Ryan in the second row. Nice backrow. O'Donnell played well last week apparently. Hope this is the start of a string of matches for him. He'll get a good apprenticeship alongside the likes of Quinlan and Leamy.

Didn't know that Johne Murphy played centre.

Assuming Gleeson is injured along with Barry Murphy, Mafi and Earls, perhaps Johne is being considered as an emergency centre option.

A lot of the internationals will be back next week with everyone back available for ML 2.

Highlights of Munster vs Leicester here:

Jones got flattened by Tuilagi for the first try. Great try outta Leamy. Cracked atmosphere at the end. :D

i know its early and the game has probably just finished but that is a terrible summary.

i see they were wearing the yellow and black top again. i wonder if thats the last we'll see of it considering the competitive games start next week.

There'll probably be a proper version of it on the munster deadsite in a few days.

What are we making of Tommy O'Donnell so far?

A young player no doubt but there's something inspiring about him!

has he the potential to go all the way?

By all accounts he's had a good pre season. TOD has been quiet so far in his Munster career although he's not been given many opportunities. After a run of games we should get a clearer idea of what he's like.

He seems to be highly rated by the Munster management and academy player of the year a few years back. Also when he was playing AIL he usually got good reports so he must have some good thing about him. Lets hope he's given a few games at the start to settle in.

there has been talk of him going over sea's at the end of the season if he's not getting his place.

while the experience may stand to him he'll find it hard getting back into Munster once and if he leaves-look at Stephen Keogh-alot thought he'd be back but he has continued to struggle and has been well replaced on the Munster Bench-lets hope the same doesn't happen with TOD

In theory an out and 7 but haven't seen anything(yet) to suggest that he could be international standard.

Would like to see him get game time regardless as we're over burdened with 6.5's playing 7 in this country

As an out and out 7, I honestly think Grace was a better prospect than him, but as a utility backrower (like SOB) I think TOD is a serious athlete.
