Celtic723 and AnneFrank banned for three weeks for multiple instances of personal abuse and threadspoiling.

EDIT: celtic723 sitebanned for one month for personal abuse via PM.

EDIT2: 30 posts deleted. I'm p*ssed that I had to ban celtic from the forum because this all started as a joke and it should have stayed as a bit of banter. However the abuse meant that bans had to be dished out and the personal abuse via PM is an automatic siteban offence.

I go away for one day and of course I miss the drama! :rolleyes:


Had some awesome moments last night

Triple semtex where I stuck it to one guy and he runs into two of his mates

Domination on terminal I got the grim-reaper challenge for killing 5 enemies with a single predator :D

Today then I went on and got the 'How the....?" challenge

On a bit of a purple patch at the moment so needless to say i'm heading out rather than playing tonight



Also I take back whatever I said about the UMP45. Once I got the silencer on it it seemed like a completely different gun. Gotten over 200 kills with it in the last 3 days

Firstly - got the NAT settings sorted - sweet jesus I'm starting to top the tables now - bullets are like a knife thru butter - completely different game.

Secondly - took down a Pave Low and Harrier with the one Stinger last nite - now that's value for money!

Finally - played a good stint last nite with boardsies - great craic

First time anyone has said that

1) I am indeed on XBOX
2) Eircom is my "provider" (and I use that term carefully)
3) It didn't change my accuracy. I had the NAT on strict and as a result of that, I was reliably informed by the well educated on here, that it effects the gameplay insofar as it delays the sending and receiving of info over t'interweb. Creasy said that if he had 2 bars, he'd quit the game for that reason alone. As a result, I was always a split second behind the other team and therefore, when it was one on one, I lost... It may be my imagination, but last night I did fairly well and let's just say, it could be luck or the split second disadvantage being removed.
4) Blood, sweat and tears. Ultimately, Eircom's thread on Broadband Support led to me to a clever bloke named Michael who told me to go to the advanced settings on my router and change one setting.. which worked!

It was set to "low", which was the lowest anyone recommended it be.

The NAT was the problem and it's now set to "open" for the xbox and that does the trick.

As to how long its been like that, since I started gaming online, ie. November 2009.

I have Perlico BB on a Zyxel modem. I've read a little about changing the NAT settings on it but I gave up becasue I couldn't find the right settings to change.

Thats why I'm asking. I'm hoping to find someone who changed them with my setup and so they can impart their knowledge to me.

Not sure if its relevant but I was same ^^^ and set up a static ip on the xbox and all the settings that go with, worked straight off!

hint for those that get booted - (as I've had a tonne of experience!)

before you get kicked out of the lobby (usually around the "finding the best host" part - 8 seconds to be precise), make a note of one or two of the players. When you are booted press the xbox button in the centre of the pad.. scroll down to "friends"... scroll right to the screen of ppl you have recently played with.. and most of the time, they will be "joinable" and so select "join in session". You then get lifted into the game

It saved me waiting maybe 5 minutes sometimes on a game...

Ha ha...love it pal. It never really bothered me tbh, I just hate to think I'm at a disadvantage over it y'know.
I need to get the full admin password for the router I think.

OMG - started using the RPG for the first time last night (on my 3rd Prestige).
It is great craic.
Any tips for multikills/correct use ?
I was trying to make sure I hit something - be it a wall or the ground or something.
