The HMs might have unwittingly found a way to keep him in themselves. Andrew was saying that no one should nominate Sam next week and whoever's up and wins the S and R should replace themselves with Sam.

It would be sweet if they followed Andrew's advice and Sam isn't up and then BB announces: "There will be no Save and Replace this week".

BB should punish them all for talking about next week's nominations anyway, but that's a separate thingy.

Go Sam. Keep Pepper in the pot

Rachel asks Sam if he's looking forward to seeing his name up on the face swap 'Save and Replace' task board next week. "At least you won't be here to put it up there," he snipes, alluding to the fact that he thinks Rachel will be evicted this week.

Josie, John James, Andrew and Corin are in the garden, discussing whether or not the public will find Sam's antics amusing. "Some people like watching other people be insulting," says John James, adding that he suspects viewing figures have soared since the newcomer's arrival on Friday.

"Are you starting an 'I love Sam Pepper fan club'?" blasts Josie, calling John James the newcomer's "number one fan". He says that all he's doing is try to understand him as a person and give him a bit more of a chance. "Everyone can see that except for you!" he tells Josie, as Andrew agrees with him and adds that it's in John James' nature to give people the benefit of the doubt

The pair continue to argue. "Please don't let Sam Pepper do this..." warns Andrew. "Well that's what John James wants to do," says Josie. "What! That's the last thing that I want to do!" shrieks the Australian

The one person that should have backed me up is sat right there!" slams Josie, referring to when Sam accused her of wanting to sell her story to the papers. John James protests that he did back her up and had a chat with Sam about it. "Everyone else can see how out of order he was to me apart from you," fumes the Bristolian. "Because I tried to understand it from a different point of view!" he reasons

Me and you can't talk, can we?" says John James. "We can never, ever have a civil conversation when it involves..." She interjects: "Sam Pepper". She is upset that despite knowing that the newcomer has offended her, John James refuses to dislike him. He tells her that he's confused because every time he sees the two of them together, she's falling about laughing. "I can't help laughing, John," she replies.

Because you think it's funny!" he says. "I'm not saying he's not a funny guy... but everytime I look at him I just think: 'You evil little g**'," she replies. He says: "I just don't appreciate the fact that you think I haven't stuck up for you. I have... I have your back. You know I do".

"The sort of person that I am on the outside is that I give everyone a chance, especially when they've been singled out," explains John James. "You're talking out of your a**. What do you mean singled out?" she asks

John James says that Josie and Mario were entitled to have an opinion on Sam because they met him before the show. "I just don't like how you've got this disappointed look on your face because I'm more willing to give him a chance than you are," he adds. "Dave and Andrew can see that he'd insulted me and hurt me and made me insecure but you – the only person that should be there for me in here – didn't!"

They have now made up. "Do you know what I care about? You," says John James, hugging Josie. "When it comes down to it I will be there more for you than what anyone else will be in this house. So don't even think otherwise. Don't even f****** worry about it."

ohn James and David have confronted Mario about the random method he used to select David as his replacement in this week's eviction.

After Mario used a coin toss to decide who he would choose out of Steve and David, John James later told him he should have revealed which side of the coin referred to which housemate, suggesting that David felt Mario was going to pick him regardless of the result.

After the confrontation, Mario told Jo that he would purposely lose the 'Save & Replace' task next week if he was nominated again.

"What's the point of fighting to stay in a house with people who think I'm dishonest?" Mario asked her.

John James and David soon joined them in the seating area and began to discuss the situation, with Mario claiming that he felt he had used the fairest method.

"I feel like we're supposed to be friends but you're doubting what I did in the first place," Mario told them.

"I would never put it down to random choice, I wouldn't want my mates to be shafted," David said. "You're saying that I'm your friend but I was the one who was chosen to go, randomly or not!"

"The thing is, mole, you were asked and you said you wouldn't tell," David queried, regarding Mario's decision not to reveal which housemate referred to which side of the coin.

"Obviously none of you think of me as enough of a friend to believe me," Mario told them, causing David to step in and argue back.

"The reality is you're talking about friendship but you just swapped my picture on the board and now I could be gone this week," he told Mario.

Mario then apologised as David said that he didn't blame him but by handling it how he had done, Mario had opened himself up for debate.

Jo then told them that they should move on as their argument was becoming cyclical, as they all agreed to put it behind them.
