Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Does this mean so that the M7 will start in Borris-in-Ossory so this coming Friday and you won't have to drive through Mountrath anymore to get to Dublin??

    Any ideas when it will join up with the Nenagh motorway (excluding the bog part after Birdhill).

    You won't have to drive through Mountrath or Borris-in-Ossory.

    It will be Oct at least before Castletown to Nenagh is open.

    "he operators of the Shannon tunnel say its opening was not delayed because of the unavailability of Transport Minister Noel Dempsey to perform the ceremony in Limerick yesterday. It was expected that the new €660 road linking Clare to the new M7 motorway would be open for traffic this week-end but this has been delayed for at least a week. According to Tom King of Direct Route, who will operate the tunnel for the next 31 years, the opening was not delayed to facilitate government ministers. "This is the first tunnel to go through the very strict safety regulations now in place and I'm confident this should be completed early next week. In all likelihood, we are looking at opening it on Friday of next week", he said.

    Galway bypass is suspended, despite what Frank Fahey may lead you to believe. Even if it wasnt, it'll be years before it clears the courts.

    I wish you luck. They completed the CPO and fenced off the line of the N11 Rathnew-Arklow in 2004. Still nothing happening! :cool:

    It's on the front page of the Kilkenny People that the final stretch of motorway is due to open on the 9th September, almost €20 million under budget.

    The same to me.I also think that i should check out Cullahill-Portlaoise to see how that's going. I'd reckon for that, still late 2010, but I haven't been up near the site in a while.
