Sorry for the silly question, but I really am terrible at cooking and frying, but I would love to be able to make oat pancakes as they sound like a really nice, healthy snack option.

I assume all I need is porridge oats, milk, an egg, possibly cinnamon (for flavour) and something to grease the pan with.

How do you actually go about preparing the pancakes, to put them in the frying pan? I attempted making them before, but it ended up too runny and when I put them in the frying pan it splattered everywhere (as I said, useless at cooking!)

Thanks for reading, hope this is the correct forum,
    Tim.
