I seem to remember some story about Adrian Kennedy being convicted of drink driving.

Ok, people make mistakes and he went to court.
But three times over the limit??

Only 3 times? I'd need to be at least twice that drunk before I'd drive home from the pub.

    LMAO at your education!!
I think he's doing a 'bit' from the show.
My favourite one is "d'ye seEEE yeew..." and the "you don't even know meeee" catchphrase already mentioned.

I used to listen to it in the 90's, before I had internets.
It all went to shít though, last time I listened to it, Adrian was just sitting back quietly, letting the callers shout over each other and repeat themselves... then a regular caller would sit pontificating for 20 minutes.
I don't think he even listened to them half the time... he'd let one person waffle on for 5 minutes, then get the other one started with "Now Jacinta, what do you think of THAT?"... then let them scream at each other for another 10 minutes.

But hey, if that's what gets more ratings... then people are getting the show they deserve.

man, he's from dun laoghaire rathdown and is highly educated, people make his soup for him.

he clearly doesn't eat alphabet soup, but that's another story entirely.

I also listened to it years ago - I actually used to stick it on and fall asleep listening. i have to say, i do love the way he makes no attempt to be a good host, he just sits there waiting for an opportunity to troll/rile up some oul biddy/junkie/taxi driver.

I'd sell my soul for his job.

There was another guy on in the 90's on 98fm... can't remember his name though, not Chris Barry, but <something> Boyle?
The first time I heard it they had one of the show's producers sitting on the street pretending to be homeless, and noting the reactions he got live on the air... that was pretty interesting.
Eventually it descended into shíte with joke/fake segments based around some of the show's more whacky callers... they went off the air soon afterwards.
