People who try to inject themselves into your life?

Ever had a neighbor who talks to you and asks you loads of questions about your life, you thinking polite conversation.Tell them little bits. And then before you know although you have only spoke to them on two occasions.Think they know you and start advising you on your life.
How do you deal with them?
I am driven demented with this neighbor who constantly although is not a friend of mine tries to tell me what i should do in certain circumstances.Or acts like their opinion matters

I usually ignore my neighbours, they get nothing but a 'hello' when I pass. If they say anything else they may get a nod or a smile. I can't be doing with nosey barstewards tbh!

A swift kick to the face should sort out your problem with your neighbour.

Or you could start ignoring them.

By the way, what's going on in your life that your neighbour has to give advice?

LOL I dont want to go to prison or be hated on the road.I have seen lately the nosey neighbor face rear its ugly head, neighbors gossiping about other neighbors also. When you have kids who play together its hard to ignore them all time.

well you see there is this problem,oh you nearly got me to spill there :D

Go Walter Mitty on them - invent a colourful life filled with instances of debauchery like the time you got stuck on the gear lever of your car in the Ikea car park after getting inexplicably turned on by the shape of the meatballs.

Or the time you went on that jamboree and decided to help the venture scouts get the "tastes like chicken" badge.

It will either scare them off or do wonders for your standing amongst peers.

Cap + earphones. Sorted! Has gotten me out of some awkward "do I really need to stop for a chat?" situations.

I'm Starting a thread on odd-ball neighbors that that live in a terraced house but seem to imagine that they are lords of a country estate....
    :p

Well at least you stretch to a hello! When I'd say 'good morning' or 'Hi' when meeting my last neighbors on the stairs or coming out their door, they would look at you as if you had two heads or something. Eerie pod people.....
