Not to nit-pick but it indicates that all subjects were fed a liquid diet without indicating the make-up of the diet. IMO this would have a huge influence in the outcome of the study.

Yeah... but the argument all along has been you can't gain muscle on below maintenance kcals. Not "you can only gain muscle on below maintenance kcals when they have a specific macro ratio".

    Thats a pretty extreme study.

    Obese women, Highly restricted diet.....

Could it be that they were metabolising fat for energy and that was what was being used to fuel the muscle growth?
    Am I completely off here?

Do I only care because I'm Obese?

just back from Croke Park - can't believe that goal was given :(

What a kick in the balls

Terrible decision! Louth should have had the match in the bag earlier in the second half...14 wides and 2 balls driven into the keeper's hands is such a waste!

    Was there crowd trouble after??

Ya ref attacked and heard there was a few scuffles outside the ground as well

Rumours going round that a former meath manager was laid out in the tunnell aswell....as a meath man im sorry we had to win like this....but there is no excuse for what a handful of louth fans did afterwards...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭ragg

Could see the frustration from the fans point of view, but to attack the ref was crazy..
Thats the end of pitch invasions in croker now... Was only a matter of time, but they will have to stop it now, after that.

Yep, not to mention the 2 goal chances in the first half. We should have been up by 4-5 by the time that goal went in, but I think nerves got the better of a couple of players.

In the Independent, it says Sean Boylan was involved in something, but he said it was nothing serious. Definitely no excuse for what happened afterwards, and the protection the ref was given was also laughable

I'm getting a certain degree of overlap when I bend down to tie a shoelace. It's not pleasant.

Deadlifts and burpees are a sick combo.

10 deadlifts one burpee, 9 deads 2 burpees, all the way to one deadlifts ten burpees. Won't take 20 mins but can be done twice!

Whatever you want I guess. I just use bodyweight, or at least what my bodyweight was before I got fat.

It absolouteoy destroys me everytime I do it. And it's relatively short so you won't get bored and if you still have any gas in the tank just go again.

judging by the description of the subjects, I wouldn't be surprised if most of them didn't have any experience with weight training. Beginners are usually mentioned as the exception to the no muscle gain on a calorie deficit rule

FYI - its pretty grueling, you have to start at the top of the minute, every time... It gets pretty tough pretty quickly
